thanks for the reply, i did put manual reading in on the 1st dec jan and feb, ive resent octopus a message on twitter, polite but direct
I had the same issue after the smart meter was installed. Even though I sent a manual reading on the first of each month they still generate the next bill on the 20th. Initial calls got the normal sort of blockheaded response "We bill on the 20th because that's your billing date". The only way to move it on was to raise it as a complaint, and that got it sorted.

not followed the thread for a short while but....
if this wholesale price keeps heading down, combined with Thursdays cost rise, i wonder how April fix vs tracker will compare? could be quite close.
at least this time we'll have a different worry as apposed to the horrific prices/uncertainty of last Winter.
when is April Cap released? End Feb?

    1. a sobering opinion. final few hours on the cheaper tariff, but its nice to see Gas very much at the lower end of its average over the year and Electricity below. the increase tomorrow, looks like Gas will still be below 4p, gives us time to let the new rate absorb in to our psyche.  o:)

    2. prediction. lots of activity on here tomorrow. mainly "I Have" / "I haven't" been transferred to the new rate.  <3
  • As was said early on gas tracker effect will be minimal, electricity concerns for some regions where it's 3-4p more per day that's where we might get some (should I fix surely bum moments(

As for me I'm off to Agile tomorrow so will miss the tracker chat.

It's per unit. I'm in Eastern and ours is going up about 3.4p.

I take heart from my friends who I basically bullied off of Eon Next Economy 7 onto Octopus Tracker and are delighted with how much they are saving on Dec 23 rates. They should never have been on E7 anyway as they weren't using enough overnight.

Having said that, copious use of the tumble drier will be made today before the rates go up.
