In your graphs there are definite regular price spikes, but it is not clear if there is a (24-hour?) pattern behind this. Similarly is there evidence of a winter price spike (apart from the Putin effect), and a trough in summer? There are good times and bad times to be an Agilite
The charts don't show an intra day breakdown. If you want more granular price info for Agile, then energy-stats.uk has some charts showing that. What my wholesale price chart shows is that global factors have outstripped seasonal ones - last summer was slightly more expensive on average than this winter, and of course prices were much higher this time last year. You would probably need to go back to 2019 to find a period of geopolitical stability to use for a seasonal analysis, but if such periods are so rare, it probably isn't worth it.
  • FIT / SEG payments. Scottish Power have just woken up to the fact that I switched to an Octopus smart meter some time ago. They are now "offering" me a switch from the FIT to the SEG scheme. They imply that apart from me providing a couple of pics they will take care of the admin - including changing the MPAN ref. It would appear that switching would get me 12 p per SEG exported unit as opposed to 6.79 p as now.
Is it as simple a no-brainer as this or is there some hidden detail that comes  into and modifies the equation?

There are also unknown unknowns - the one's we don't know we don't know

Can I ask why you use this one thread for all your energy questions even if it is not tracker related?

You could start your own Fit/Seg which is the best thread?

Why single him out?  The thread is becoming extremely blurred overall.
  • There is of course an element of truth in your criticism. I can remember a long conversation on this forum on the pros and cons of smart meters. It is a question of where you draw the line.
If there is a better forum for FIT / SEG matters I would transfer my query.

  • Back to tracker.........

Decent (ish) predictions for generation and the changes coming 15th Feb for most.

Hopefully :-) The dip is on Saturday which may influence things, though.

Interesting to see more yellow on the chart, solar starts to rampup quite quickly at this time of year, I wonder how much influence that will start to have?

Well personally, it's helping us. We generated 24kwh in January, we're up to 35kwh in February as of now. For the first time for several weeks we're running off power generated yesterday still, and the batteries are re- charging with the sun out.

Probably because the query had literally nothing to do wth Tracker.  All the other blurry lines on this thread are at least related to how they interact or compare with the tariff.

Oh, we actually have lost the Nordpool wholesale history.  Doesn't go back further than a week :(  which I've just found out trying to look up something from 2022.
