My Octopus Gas Tracker November 2022 v1 15/Feb 2024 fixed term ends 8 days remaining in contract
I am on the same v1 tariffs for G & E here, no fixed term but notice received that on 15 Feb these tariffs finish. I suppose change to Dec 2023.
Meter readings history: Surprisingly the history is displayed for my gas non-smart meter but not (just the usage) for smart electric.

gas creeping up by the day also the electric, but still miles cheaper than the svr

I think there will be a drop tomorrow.  Back to around yesterday's price.  But there again ...

A heads up that Nordpool have deactivated the old site and got a new one, tracker price can now be calculated from the link below...

    https://data.nordpoolgroup.com/auction/n2ex/prices?deliveryDate=2024-02-06&deliveryAreas=UK&currency=GBP

Obviously change the date as and when
thanks for that, and i'm not keen on the new layout, lost all the history charts
Same.  I clicked on it and went 'oh, no I don't like that' - frustrating to lose the recent history.  Oh well, gastracker alone it is for me, then
Just change the date at the top? You can still go back to the 31st Jan (as of today)
  • Still no email, so hopefully I'm staying on the old tracker formula.
If you look at your online account what does it say on my account if you scroll down

Perhaps you are on an older version? Protected maybe?

    No "Ending" on mine
As someone else put it. Octopus being consistently inconsistent.
Especially so considering I'm a newbie, my Tracker adventure only started about 3 weeks ago!

Gas for me was at 4.1895p on the 1st, dropped to 4.011p on the 3rd, and is currently at 4.1055p - Still a lot less than the 7.31p on SVR.
Electricity is currently at 20.3175p, but will drop to 19.635p tomorrow - Will wait for it to go dip under 14.5p, and I'll recharge the car.
Her courage will change the world.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Where do I find the auction price on there. On the old page just after 10am it showed the price which was an indication of the next day price

Which is great if you have a brain that can hold numbers and compare them.  I need to have them all on the same view to make any meaningful comparisons, the intended way for which now would be manually writing them down - I'm not doing that, I'll just stick to gastracker.uk fit the historical daily prices.  It was interesting to have the half-hourly view but I'm thankful I had no need to rely on it.

Can you open two separate browser windows and put them on screen side-by-side?
Just an idea, I do this when reviewing documents at work.

Not on a phone.  And the distance separating them using two windows would have an impact too, it's just the way our brains work (or don't).  I guess they just assume anyone truly needing the data will pay for it and be analysing it outside of a browser (as well as being on a desktop) - or make workarounds - but it just seems such an arbitrary change for the sake of it.
Never mind, I have way bigger things to worry about that require my limited energy!
  • Which is why I prefer a desktop. My not-so-modern mobile struggles to load the Octopus website. A proper screen is for me essential for gastracker, energy-stats.uk and My Smart Energy analyses.
