@Spies. If I understand correctly the data in your table cover only 00.00 to 04.30 H even though the graphs show 24 hours?Telegraph Sam

The totals are for the whole day4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0 -
@Spies
Ah.
It surprises me that there should be such a difference between your graph and Bendo's. Obviously the inputs are different.
What would sway me would be a longer time period - the app seems to be able to cater for 12 months - coupled with a "reverse load shift" by which I mean that in my case there is generally no consumption at all in the wee small hours to compensate for peak consumption. I'd guess that would put Agile in a less favourable light.Telegraph Sam

Looks like Spies graph was for yesterday and mine for the past month.

Agile is sitting in the middle of the trackers for me. Currently I put the dishwasher on timer if the next day is cheaper but that's the only consideration we do.
Agile would appear to be the right move but are they any other factors I need to weigh up?
Thanks
The app has me saving about £6 a month on both Dec 2023 tariffs. For the last full month.£46 old tracker.£48 agile.£54 new tracker.
To expand on this, I checked some random days (these can be checked from the monthly page even without paying for app), and I could see some days I was not using PC during peak hours and it all looked pretty good, I can post graph later, but I will categorise as follows for agile.Off peak (super cheap pricing period)Main (pricing for most of daytime hours)Peak the 4-7pm period.
I can see now on the dec 2023 tariffs main for agile is very close to or aligned with tracker all day rates, but then has 6 hourts or so of very cheap energy, even negative cost. Then the 3 hour really expensive period. These costs from the app include standing charges so the fact dec 2023 Agile is £48 vs £46 (old tracker) for my last month, is impressive considering it has the higher SC baked into it. With not much effort I could avoid PC usage during peak hours and probably save £10 month from it. But even keeping my normal no care usage pattern its almost same price as what I have been paying for the Nov 2022 tracker.
The latter part of December the gains increased for Agile, I dont know if that was due to more favourable wholesale, or me using less peak. As I not analysed every single day.0 -
Interesting and I / we'd be interested to see the graphs. I am now taking the approach to all such readings to ask what the extent of the benefit of any one of them is due to load shifting into the wee small hours (or not). Not all of us by a long chalk are EV drivers and I suspect the relative attractiveness of Agile can be much influenced by the two alternative scenarios. I'm hoping that one or more of us readers will have personal data reflecting a no load shift or limited load shift profile that we could share for comparison.Telegraph Sam

I just looked at a comparison for the last month for my use, with gas heating, no EV or battery etc and no load shifting. For the month Agile Nov23 would have been £48.82 and Tracker Nov23 would have been £51.90. Looking at the Sunday just gone agile £1.50 and Tracker £1.87 with Agile cheaper all day except for the peak 4 to 7pm when tracker is cheaper.
However looking at the 10 January which was the highest price for tracker, tracker nov23 was 4 pence cheaper than agile.
I don't think I want the stress of Agile, knowing what I'll be like, to make the savings worth it.1 -

Will post during the morning. Need to grab screenshot from phone.

Agile would definitely not suit my situation. Two working from home plus two working elsewhere so showers between 7 and 8am or evening, cooking 5-7pm, tv 7-1pm. I refuse to use dishwasher and washing machine overnight for safety reasons, no EV, small amount of solar but no battery. No real opportunities for load shifting. The saver sessions are a big enough disruption so Agile just isn’t going to work here.0

A heads up that Nordpool have deactivated the old site and got a new one, tracker price can now be calculated from the link below...
https://data.nordpoolgroup.com/auction/n2ex/prices?deliveryDate=2024-02-06&deliveryAreas=UK¤cy=GBP
Obviously change the date as and when8
