Octopus Tracker

As above it's in the terms and conditions as "Reasonable Notice"QrizB said:IIRC Ofgem removed the explicit 30 day requirement a few years ago. Now they just require "adequate" notice, sufficient that the customer can switch away if they don't like the new tariff.
To add to this I thought they have been very reasonable given the new formula came in on 11th December 2023 and many thought they might pull the trigger early Jan. So to get halfway through Feb and breaking the back of winter costs at Octopus expense (it is still a loss leader) then well done Octopus

The next interesting thing is for those without smart meters are their emails different?
Does it say you need a smart meter to continue on tracker?0 -

I was on a fixed term until June but still got the email. I have challenged it but don’t hold out much hope. At least in Yorkshire the increases aren’t as severe as elsewhere.0

However, the previous fixed term variant did not have protection from a formula change like the current version does. T&Cs are clear that if you joined Tracker prior to 11th December they could change the formula after giving reasonable notice.I suppose their might be an argument to push for the original expiry date not to be extended, on the assumption Octopus will not be looking to change the formula again before then...

If my memory is correct Griffindog as well as others had fixed term status removed a few weeks ago, I think on basis was a mistake.to put on fixed term, ( did not get a renewal email offering a further 12 months on tracker from June 23)masonic said:
