Darn.  We're in Eastern which is one of the areas going up most I think. Will see what flops into my inbox. Hopefully the sun will shine brighter soon and our solar will do the heavy lifting.
Me too in an expensive area. I'm in London and electricity going up almost 4p. Think Agile might be the way to go for me.
How much will your new standing charge be in comparison to Merseyside/North Wales which will be increasing from just under 47p to just over 60p per day?

Re-read the email, Agile formula isn't changing, just going to fixed term like Tracker. The standing charge is going up, for me in Yorkshire from 47.901p to 53.949p per day

Had my first saving session on the 17th - Saved a massive 0.5kWh and earned 904 points (worth £1.13). I used less than 10p, so don't mind getting paid for doing nothing.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.

Nothing for me yet. Looks like Tracker is going to go from "too good to be true" to "slightly less too good to be true". Even at the new rates it is way cheaper than SVR. Maybe we could have a few savings sessions to take the sting out the price rise though...
roughly working out a extra £7 p/m for me, coming off a high tariff i'm still looking at a good saving

Octoprice app seems to have disappeared
  • It's a shame but the new tracker formula is still saving a lot - looking the last 30 days, it'd have been £330 on the standard flexible tariff, or £227 on the new formula.

I got the email about my Agile standing charge (i understand that bit) but i don't understand

"Your unit prices still change daily but your unit price formula will be fixed for 12 months"

Is anyone able to explain this like i'm a proper plank?

    * Are my prices still changing every 30 minutes?
    * is my unit price formula changing or is it just being kept the same as it is now? (how much does this matter?)

Only looking at an extra £4 for us for electric if we'd been on Dec 23 rates in January. We're low users anyway, and with a few sunny days our solar supplied 50% of our use in January which we are amazed at. Will have a think about Agile but we like the simplicity of Tracker even if it maybe a bit more expensive.
