My usage on Agile, after downloading all my hourly usage and hourly prices, would have been £222.24 inc SC
A difference of £29.26 in favour of Tracker.
In this period, I used 775.75 kWh of electricity. My unit price has gone up 3.1p so 3.255p inc VAT
This gives me an extra £25.23.
My SC will be going up 8.16p, multiplied by 139 gives me an extra £11.34.
So Tracker (Dec 23) over the same period would have cost me £229.65.
Leaving it £7.41 more expensive than Agile over the same period (14/9/23 - 29/1/24).
Not worth the hassle of going back onto Agile IMO, especially as I have a fishtank so heater is in use over the colder periods.
Ours ins £25 cheaper for the month if we look back and hadn't changed our habits at all.
Fish tank or not lol0 -

I was on Agile for around a month, middle of August, whilst I was waiting to join Tracker.
Over this time, I calculated I would have been 8p a day better off on Tracker.
Whilst on Agile, I was using heavy appliances at the cheaper periods, even if it meant setting the washer/dishwasher on timer to come on at the cheap periods. Then setting dryer to come on at the next cheapest time.
A few hassles I worked out, over this period. One was if I came home from work and needed a shower ( it could not be between 4 and 7). Another was my seizures. I am prone to soiling/wetting myself during a seizure. If this happened between 4 and 7, it would turn very expensive in cleaning myself and clothes. Another was heating. Use of combi boiler at the expensive peak time rates would hit the savings.
There was a nice bonus, mind you. Turning TV on, whilst falling asleep was cheap.
Even on Tracker, I am cautious about my peak rate use and try and avoid using high wattage items during this time.
Why was I looking? To see if I could save money. Around the £1 a week mark saving and I would have probably gone for it. £7 over 4.5 months, assuming similar savings over the remaining 7.5, would be around £20. I have previously moved suppliers for a £50 pa saving. Would I do it for £20, probably not.

I don't follow. I thought that the essential difference between Tracker and Agile is that the former has just the one (variable) rate per day whereas with Agile different rates apply throughout the day every 1/2 hour. Which demands the greater "engagement" from Agile customers. Am I missing something?Telegraph Sam

I am sorry to hear about your seizures and given that "new" information and not knowing the context perhaps a less intense tariff is best?
On a separate note I do find during many discussions these days (here and on socials) out of the blue part way down someone mentions a disabled child/health condition/something completely out the blue that renders the discussion mute because it can't really be discussed further without tip toeing around.
And on that note I tip toe off.0 -
