2023 Tracker Review East Midlands.
1. Neither Gas nor Electricity has exceeded SVT rates on any day.
2. Electricity has averaged under 20pkwh but SVT over 30pkwh.
3. Gas has averaged under 5pkwh but SVT over 8pkwh.
I use about 4500kw Electricity and 10,000 Gas so Tracker has saved me in excess of £750 in 2023.

i hope i can keep this simple
when am i getting billed? as i'm a new customer start date 11nov, i submit my readings on the 1st dec same date as dd, then on 11th dec a bill was produced with a new updated smart reading from the 1st dec to 11th dec
now do i do my readings on the 11th every month as that is my monthly billing date? or is it still 1st - 1st0 -
If your supply started on 11th November and a bill was produced on 11th December, that would suggest the 11th will be your normal billing date. If you have a smart meter, there is no need to provide readings. One will be collected automatically ahead of each bill.northernstar007 said:i hope i can keep this simple

If you contact them, they can arrange for bills to be issued whenever you want.northernstar007 said:i hope i can keep this simple

I have always paid my DD's on the 15th of the month.
When my smart meters were installed, they started to bill me monthly on the anniversary of the installation date.
I contacted them and asked for Bills to be issued on a calendar monthly basis, each bill covering from 1st to last day of each month. They now produce bills roughly on the 2nd of each month, covering the previous calendar month.
DD payments have remained on 15th throughout.
Alternatively, if you wish to send them readings, they will produce a bill each time you submit a reading, whenever that might be.
As they say online "If you have a smart meter, you’ll receive a statement every month. If you’d like to change the date you receive your statements, get in touch to let us know." from here: https://octopus.energy/help-and-faqs/articles/when-does-octopus-send-my-statements/Bob2 -

update a new message from octopus on twitter, its too late to adjust for jan bill but will be adjusted for feb, that will do for me1 -
I don't know if it's a widespread issue or just me, but I have not been billed for electricity for 2 months, even though there are no missing smart meter readings. Maybe something got broke when I switched from Agile to Tracker - if I don't get billed by the time I get back from my upcoming holiday I will contact them to see what is going on.northernstar007 said:cheers all done, message on twitter and all done to be billed on the 1st

I have the same issue, which also started when I switched from Agile to Tracker. I have had to request manual bills since then. My monthly reading gets taken as usual, but no bill is issued.Pat38493 said:

Ours shows a payment holiday whatever that is. Hopefully it's a free payment holiday for December 😂😂Pat38493 said:

I'm not too bothered we track our usage anyway and it's earning us interest elsewhere at the moment and the direct debit should be setup to pay whole bill monthly.
It will only become an issue for people that spend all their money and don't realise their payment hasn't been taken.0 -
give them a call and let us know how you get on and enjoy your holidaysPat38493 said:

The only reason I'm bothered enough to request a manual bill from time to time is in case of any future missing data causing them to average out the usage based on a final index reading.MultiFuelBurner said:I'm not too bothered we track our usage anyway and it's earning us interest elsewhere at the moment and the direct debit should be setup to pay whole bill monthly.
