If they are getting every reading there should be no reason why they are doing this, it negates the point of a smart tariff. Imagine if they did this for Agile, people would be having fits.0

Today's job, will be going through all my old bills and comparing usage with Bright and/or the Octopus app.
I'm sure I looked a bill a couple of months ago, and that was fine, but I'll check them all.... after more coffee has been consumed.0 -
Averaged figures fall slightly over each day towards the end of the month as we head to mid summer and rise slightly each day during the month as we head into winter.
Those figures shown by vic_sf49 don't show that pattern so must be the real consumption from the smart meter.Barnsley, South Yorkshire

.. But is the smoothing we're on about the column 2nd from the right, where usage slowly increases from 9.83 to 19.53?
So that is not showing actual daily consumption.
My bill does the same (different usage obvs), as I spotted some days of missing data* in September.
* Octopus app is missing 2 days. Bright is, missing 1.0 -
My latest Tracker gas bill looked like this. You can see my daily use for the period varies wildly, from a low of ~4kWh to a high of about ~15kWh. There are good reasons for this and they are known to me!N. Hampshire, he/him. Octopus Intelligent Go elec & Tracker gas / Vodafone BB / iD mobile. Ripple Kirk Hill member.

how do you know if Octopus couldn't get a reading? looking on the App every day has a reading with no missing bars on each weekly graph.
p.s according to App my usage was 410.18 as apposed to bill 414.4....if this was happening with electric it would be a problem.0 -
and for comparison the month before..... which match my App readings.
