The wind in the early hours having an impact on todays pricing (15.41p here), although its back to Saturday levels of pricing tomorrow (18.74p).
Gas up to its highest price since early April in trading today.....1 -
This link, posted by @Spies on another thread, may be of interest to Tracker customers:Although it's not the only factor it seems pretty clear that there is some form of correlation between the amount of wind energy being generated and electricity prices (although I guess it depends as well on the accuracy of the mid range forecast - i.e. if the actual wind energy generated is in line with the forecast I guess prices aren't effected so much ???).On that basis, the chart here suggests Thursday this week will be a good day for Tracker customers.0

It was accurate enough today with the wind prediction overnight. But yes at the moment lots of wind will equal cheaper prices overnight, but once the Economy 7 mob and everyone else starts flicking the heating on overnight that will likely change.0

Prices are starting to slowly creep up.
Anyone know why?

We've been treated to some low prices recently due to windy weather. Tomorrow looks like a return to normality. We've had prices above 20p in the not so distant past, and no doubt they'll be even higher as temperatures fall and the nights draw in.
