Last Saturday, electricity was 'just' 14.18p/kWh, gas last Friday was ‘just’ 1.61p/kWh, and now look at them! Unusually low on these days, perhaps, but... yikes! 😲
Average daily unit rates for June to date are still below SVT, but if the rises of the last few days continue... 😧

I'm seeing 193/therm, doesn't that make it over 8p/kwh?QrizB said:SJMALBA said:My energy region guesstimate for tomorrow:Electricity - 31.1p/kWh (hopefully, I'm wrong, and it's lower...)I'll leave gas to @QrizB.Thanks, I think
Marex's average DA price for tomorrow is 161p/therm, 5.495p/kWh, pretty much the same as today.(It's the good weather, there's very little wind around and not enough solar to make up for it.)4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0 -

I was told that it is a hexadecimal error which equates to zero consumption. I have had it from time-to-time on two sets of smart meters (different manufacturers and models).MWT said:Alnat1 said:Almost a whole years gas recorded as being used between 7.30 and 8am on Saturday!!!
I think the problem was the new gas meter was showing 9999 rather than 0 and took from 8th to the 11th to get to 0. Could take some time to sort out and maybe I won't get switched until it's sorted.Usually the crazy high usage is where an error code from the meter is interpreted as a consumption figure. The Octopus systems filter those out, but Bright and N3rgy report them as data regardless.I have many examples of zero consumption, that does not give an error. What Octopus do when the error occurs is to replace it with a zero consumption entry.

Ever since I switched to the tracker the other day, the prices have been creeping up! Let’s hope this trend stops soon, otherwise I’ll have to switch back to the svt0

If a bird flaps it's wings 6000 miles away does the price of gas go up?Spies said:SAC2334 said:

What goes up can come down remember 6 days ago when Gas Tracker sunk to 1.6pkw/h when several birds flapped their wings with too much energy.0
