Same here. Took me about 5 minutes over the phone.OhhLongJohnson said:
We moved onto Agile in Jan as were told we couldn't go onto Electric Tracker but more wanted to just know if anyone was successful moving onto it recently.marlot said:I'm in that category. What do you need to know?
So that's great to hear & was it easily done by phone or email or did it require a twitter direct message?0 -
I did it by email, Octopus emailed a link for me to sign up.0

I signed up to Octopus at the beginning of February and started being supplied on the 4th, switching to the Tracker tariff on the 6th. What was jammy is that I was on EON Next's Next Online v9 tariff which ended on the 4th. I've gone from paying just over 26p with them to about 25-28p with Octopus (bar the two days on their flexible tariff). I asked to switch to Tracker on email. It took four days for a reply. I'm just waiting for a further reply regarding my energy meters which I asked about at the same time because its a complex issue (Electric meter still showing Symbio Energy as its supplier and phantom gas smart meter removed in 2021 on safety grounds is showing as the meter on my account).0

Looks like the tariff just got removed from the website and anyone who seeks it out is now told it is subject to a "waiting list", currently at six months. I wonder if Octopus know it was getting too popular, hitting their bottom line and have done this to dissuade people from switching to it after they've switched to them?
That of course means that if prices go up and you move off it, you're likely unable to go back when prices go back down, if ever.0 -
It has been an energy savvy persons tariff for some time bought to the attention of the masses by ukhotdeals and other such sites and media.tghe-retford said:Looks like the tariff just got removed from the website and anyone who seeks it out is now told it is subject to a "waiting list", currently at six months. There have been waiting lists before with Octopus whilst they balance their books so that part isn't new.0 -
Two other things changed since last night. It is now a mandatory smart meter tariff (good luck with my complex issue I guess) and secondly, it is now a "beta" tariff, which means limited numbers can go on it and could easily be changed or withdrawn at short notice, as is the nature of a beta product.Mstty said:

From what I can see nothing has changed, It was launched as a beta tariff when Octopus had around 90000 customers, they have been labelling it as a smart meter tariff for some time, Q+A still refer to those without smart meters, I cannot see where it states It is now a mandatory smart meter tariff.tghe-retford said:

The two things I quote are from numerous people who signed up via the link last night and this morning in the spiel prior to signing up. I'm already on it so I can't sign up again to confirm myself.bristolleedsfan said:

As I understand it, the term ‘beta’ has a slightly different meaning in the energy sector. For example, Standard Licence Conditions require suppliers to use index readings for billing. Octopus chooses not to do so for Agile; Go; Cosy, IO and Flux. I suspect that future Tracker billing might well move to 30 minute usage - hence the need for a smart meter.tghe-retford said:
