That’s why I submit daily readings and get billed daily. Then I know for sure how much I have been charged each day.  The discount was only applied to my account for a few days at the end of last week.

Re my previous post, another read submitted and another bill generated , this time no mention of the EPG discount but the average unit rate over the few days is lower than that displayed each day when I log in (it has been at 'the cap' with a rate of 10.34p KWhr in my region), the latest bill:

There is obviously an issue with their billing system!

When you log in to the website or app you see the price after VAT. Your bill is produced at the price before VAT with the VAT added at the end. 

I submit readings daily and it always works out the same as the figures shown on the app. (Although I wasn’t at home last weekend and the gas prices didn’t show on the app so I wasn’t able to check them.)

Just to add - I am billed at the previous day’s rates. When I submit a reading this evening I will pay yesterday’s rate. People on smart meters may be charged the same day rates.

We don't have a smart meter either so to keep it straight in my own head I take readings at just gone midnight.  [Maybe wouldn't work so well for people whose body clocks and daily routines are more diurnal though.]

Can't speak for Griffindog of course but I tend tend to mainly submit meter readings when the price significantly changes.  Occasionally that might mean 24hrs apart, but most frequently has been 2 or more days - although with it sitting at the cap for a couple of weeks now I've not felt the need.  Only submitted one recently to see what the billing was doing, and then today (tonight) is the monthly one.

Yes, and I forgot to do it tonight. I’m not going outside now. While we are stuck with the EPG there is nothing to be gained except the usage graphs looking a bit unusual.
