So is the general consensus that probably from about a week ago Octopus are incorrectly applying an additional EPG discount when they bill to tracker rates that according to their own Ts & Cs should not have it applied?I will be archiving carefully my weekly bills for the inevitable customer complaint if they attempt to 're bill'0

There is no discount on unit rate if its under the cap, I get charged 9.84p max for Gas, unless your taking into account the £67 but you shouldn't incorrectly state it brings the unit rate down as this is going to cause people to start contacting octopus if theirs isn't shown on the bill.
And besides, even if they went above EPG when adding on VAT, it shouldn't need the full discount amount to bring it back down to EPG.0 -
Gas is back up to 10.24 today but electricity is still down at 22.15.
It certainly sounds like someone made a very expensive mistake either the calculations over the last few days. Let’s hope they don’t re-bill us all.0 -
I've submitted a gas reading today to see if a bill is produced and what prices will be charged.
To be fair, if I do get charged my normal 10.24p I don't think I'll try and argue for the 2p/kWh they displayed, it was obviously a mistake, although I did use 75kWh yesterdayBarnsley, South Yorkshire

It has been so helpful reading all these comments. I am new to Tracker, since beginning of November, and have been trying to work it out and have been really confused- now I know why. They haven't sent any bills yet, which doesn't help though I have been submitting readings- still waiting fora final agreement with the last company apparently.I could do with an idiots guide as to how you calculate what you should be paying but as this doesn't exist could some of you advise as to how often to get a bill/submit readings (once my billing is up and running). Monthly? Weekly?Daily?I have been putting my daily readings for gas and electricity and the unit rates (weird though they have been) shown on my app in the usage area into a big excel sheet ready. Thanks everyonefor being so helpful.0

I don’t have a smart meter so I submit daily readings and get billed on the previous day’s rates. I usually get a bill within hours. I get my rates from the usage page of the Octopus app. They are updated at midnight each day.1

Just letting you all know my rate in Octopus watch is as per what the tracker page said 2/6/0p and now back at cap. V3 tracker. will wait for bill to come in but given Octopus Watch uses their api to get the price I suspect the bills should reflect that.. I will definitely complain about it however as people like my mum look at that rate and decide what they will do on that day.0

For unit rates I can't seem to get the calculation right at all (always out by up to a penny) so I use https://energy.guylipman.com/sm/electracker as reference. I look up for the relevant wholesale rate, or near enough, and see what the UR should be for our region.
The gas one is like the URL above but with 'gastracker' at the end.1 -
Bill arrived today, highest UR was 35.38p+VAT, EPG discount applied for the whole bill at 0.50p/kWh.
None of it makes sense to me. Did they work out the average discount based on the whole bill? Surely not, because most of the URs must have been discounted already to be sitting at the EPG cap while the wholesale rate moved around.
I have no clue *throws hands up in exasperation*0
