4.0.5 on iOS … so maybe it’s just not available on that version/on Android!Spies said:

That’s weird. I wonder if it’s been taken off the latest download. I certainly didn’t have to apply to be a beta tester and was directed to the app specifically because it could show Tracker and Go Faster costs unlike my meter IHD or Bright.Spies said:Must have to be included in beta as the option isn't there in mine.
Im using iOS and not Android if that makes a difference?3.6kWp Solar PV with 14kWh battery storage - Octopus Go Faster 5h & Octopus Gas Tracker tariffs.

But not electricity, I take it?It’s the only thing that gives me any clue as to how much my real gas cost per day is. My meter still has the old fixed tariff set (same for my electric as I’m on Go Faster ToU) so my IHD is pretty useless for anything other than kWh readings.0 -
Sorry, yes it does calculate my daily electricity cost correctly too! And also averages my daily, weekly and monthly kWh rate too. Because I have battery storage and solar, most of my import is in the 5 hour cheap rate (charging car, topping up the battery storage etc) which means my electricity costs are now significantly cheaper.ChaunceyGardiner said:

Unfortunately it doesn’t yet link to export although it does show the export tariff (SEG)

What do you mean by links to export? Mine shows export and an overall net usage based on import and export

It doesn’t show the daily export alongside the import and I don’t believe being on SEG it does the same calculation as yours. I see you are on agile for import and export which I think Octopus Watch was originally designed for but does work mostly with Go and Tracker but doesn’t give quite the same level of detail.Spies said:What do you mean by links to export? Octopus Watch does indeed show both import and export for electricity; however, I believe that for export to show the meter must be set up for SEG (not deemed exports under the FIT scheme) and the meter has to have a second export MPAN.Trapdoor said:

Mine is set up for SEG and my meter has an export MPAN, but unlike daily import data (cost and kWh) which OW displays, for my setup there is only a totalled weekly and 28 day for export. It looks like in the example shown where both import and export are agile tariffs, OW does a daily calculation based on both to give a true daily cost.[Deleted User] said:

However I’m not generally exporting much as I’m quite fastidious to use my excess solar generation for charging the house or car batteries or dump into my DHW, though Mid summer I do export some.3.6kWp Solar PV with 14kWh battery storage - Octopus Go Faster 5h & Octopus Gas Tracker tariffs.

Can you clarify the name of the app please, my octopus app doesnt even have settings other than notifications.Trapdoor said:

It’s an app called Octopus Watch … it’s a third party app primarily designed to enable Agile users to plan their usage depending on peak and plunge pricing but it’s also useful for us mere mortals on fixed Time of Use tariffs!!Chrysalis said:

Ok found it, it looks like from the description it needs to pass on your tariff details to them?Trapdoor said:

Shame its pay only, no trial mode, but android apps are cheap so I Will give it a punt, however given it only seems fully functional in its now apparent closed beta, it makes me feel a bit off paying for it.
I paid up and now have the app installed.
There is no gas data at all.
It shows some cost done on a per day basis which is ok for people who are bad at maths or just cant be bothered to do the maths. The best feature in my opinion is the comparison to go, of which it says I am in the 20-40% range for most of October in my favour.
So the downsides.
This is the first app I have ever come across on android that charges both a install fee and a monthly fee for full features.
No gas data so only agile/go info.
Have to provide unknown 3rd party with api and account number.
I dont know why is no gas data for me when others have it, it isnt listed on the subscription feature screen, but I see absolutely no options for gas in the app.
The usage page is nothing new over what the octopus app offers and is in my opinion actually inferior, so the one selling point for me is the history page, with the daily costings and vs the go tariff.
Thats my mini feedback on this app.
