Octopus Tracker

I think those are estimates based on how much they think you will use in the day. Ours seem to be, although we don't have a smart meter. If you do have a smart meter and it's changed at all during the day then there's your answer. (If it hasn't changed, it's an estimate for the whole day.)zoonyx said:
That's what I'm after really - and I can see those figures in the app - cheers. I also found another app that uses the API and supports tracker.Griffindog said:My rates are 30.72 and 7.30 today (Yorkshire).
However, still confused about these: Electric £2.61 Gas £1.29 shown on my (web) account page. The only guess I've made is that these are estimates of my usage for today so far?1 -
I'm not sure any of us know what those Tracker amounts on the web page are, it seems more like a strange demo. Don't worry, they are nothing to do with what you get charged and are best ignored (my gas says £1.61 today and I use less than 4wKh a day to heat a bit of water, 7p x 4 = 28p + SC of 22p = 50p-ish)Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Solar PV 5.25kWp SW facing (14 x 375) installed Mar 22
Lux 3.6kw hybrid inverter and 9.6kw Pylontech batteries
Daikin 8kW ASHP installed Jan 25

Says in the description that tracker is NOT supported?milo_2020 said:They say my gas is £2.31 a day but its closer to 20p as we only use the Gas for a shower and occasional hot water, rest is mini split heating and log burner.
Octopus Watch is a good app for iOS which shows me my daily spend on tracker and gas along with the unit rate and my consumption to match with it, good to track if you are load shifting when it is cheaper than the cap (been quite good recently)0 -
Octopus watch doesnt even show Gas data.4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.0

Ahh that's fair enough - just wondered really. Seem's it's all a bit of a mess at the moment but maybe due to the changes anywayAlnat1 said:I'm not sure any of us know what those Tracker amounts on the web page are, it seems more like a strange demo. To be fair it makes sense, contract intervention is to compensate people who were not aware the EPG was coming, now we have a SVR EPG, the sensible thing is for people to move to that when existing contracts end.bristolleedsfan said:Same message on Agile page which is a shame as up until at least the middle of August both Agile and Tracker were renewing on existing terms. https://octopus.energy/tracker/
Of course Agile is not a normal tariff and does encourage load shifting, but I expect this government doesnt really care about that.
It sounds like from the wording they trying to devise a legal way round the restriction maybe e.g. removing the fixed contract length.0 -
