@Chrysalis … it would appear that Gas data isn’t available on Android apps as discussed a bit further up the thread. It is in beta on iOS (which is what I use). I would like to think that as it is a paid app, it will be further developed and stuff in beta goes into the public release, but who knows. I have paid for apps in the past that quickly become unsupported and undeveloped.

Have you considered trying to contact the developer to ask about the gas feature?

I've already contacted them, they said it's random as to who sees the option in the app and the person responding to my question didn't even have access to it.
4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.

The good news on the API key is that Octopus allow it to be regenerated, which would remove access from the third party should that be wished.

Thanks @Spies for asking them the question, the response you got doesnt seem great though.
  • Gas Tracker continues at an average of about 3pkw/h lower the EPG rates for units used since Oct 1st. which is a saving of around £6 for me. Those who switched to Tracker and paid higher prices in the summer will be hoping it continues.

Definitely. I considered leaving Tracker (V3) many times but held out. Fortunately with solar panels and no heating on through summer the higher prices didn’t have a massive impact and since 1st October electricity has been low 20s or less on quite a few days too. With the new EPG we will hopefully never lose out.

For my energy region, average daily unit rates so far in October:
    Gas - 7.23p/kWh
    Electricity (inc. the 15th) - 23.88p/kWh
At this point, the worst case scenario for October would be:
    G - 8.9p/kWh
    E - 30.04p/kWh
A significant change to the 'pain' of the last 3 months.
  • Will Tracker be attractive enough to switch to without the EPG cap? We should find out today.
  • There’s no tariff information showing at all just now, they must be updating the system.

Yes, they are having a major update as new/renewing customers on fixed tariffs cannot get the benefit of the EPG once their current fix ends, and a lot of their variable tariffs, like Tracker, were effectively fixed due to their own caps...

'Go' and 'Intelligent' just reappeared on the Octopus tariff list as flexible tariffs, no sign of Tracker or Agile yet...
