Octopus Tracker

I was on Tracker for the whole period you mention and achieved an average of 4.65p/kwh. I live in the East Midlands region which is the cheapest area for Tracker.QrizB said:I don;'t know if anyone is interested but my average gas price on Tracker for the period 30th Apr to 30th May was 5.44p/kWh, including VAT.This time last year that would've sounded outrageously high (see the first page of this thread for examples) but by the standards of 2022 I'm quite happy with it!Edit: in fact Tracker was a bit cheaper than that, as the first few days of the period I was still on Flexible.2 -
I signed up to v2 in March and was told that the cap on Gas was 7.5p per kwh but can't find any documentation on thisbristolleedsfan said:davieba said:

I'm on Gas Tracker V2. The cap of 11pkw/h was already in place when I moved to it. Those already on V1, as far as I know, haven't been moved to V2 or V3 or had their cap increased to 11pkw/h. From other posts this seems to be normal practice for Octopus i.e. not increasing prices or caps until the fixed term of the tariff has ended and if you're lucky not even then.savers_united said:
I was under the impression they have raised the cap on tracker v2 and its only v1 that remains untouched. Only thing that stays the same is the SC.tlcgrantham said:No fix currently being offered is significantly below the cap of 11pkw/h. Assuming Octopus stick to form and don't increase the cap to existing customers it's in effect a 12 month fix with good chance of being cheaper than any fix or variable tariff on offer.11p kWh is the v2 and v3 cap
Difference between v2 and v3 is cheaper standing charge v20 -

Difference between v2 and v3 is cheaper standing charge v2The cap on gas for the tracker has never been 7.5p, it was 6p on V1 and then 11p on V2/3.That sounds like the low rate electricity price on 'Go', but certainly never been a cap price on Tracker.0 -

Signups in March and at least part of April would have been for v10 -
April 9th was the first day I noticed that V2 had appeared, so around then.bristolleedsfan said:

Yep, playing a blinder tonight. I moved to Octopus on March 20th, and signed up for Tracker v2 on April 26th. However, I cannot find any info on the cap, only what I was told verbally.MWT said:

davieba said:My bad, I meant 6p, I'm on Octopus GO for electricity as well. Then if you confirmed you wanted to be moved to Tracker in March (not just asking for more details), you should be on V1 and that is 6p.If you have V2 showing in your online account then you may need to follow-up on that with CS.

Are you sure you are on V2, and not V3?davieba said:

Albeit, caps are the same, but SCs higher on v3.
V2 was superseded by V3 on 26th April:

Current Cap details:
https://octopus.energy/tracker-faqs/If wholesale prices go up, am I stuck on the Octopus Tracker paying a higher price?
×No, if you ever want to come off the Octopus Tracker, just email hello@octopus.energy and we will move you to one of our other tariffs right away, alternatively you can switch directly in your online account. Additionally, we have introduced a maximum cap on Tracker prices at 40p / kWh of electricity and 11p / kWh for gas

Yes, I'm definitely on v2. The app and the standing charge confirm thatk_man said:
