Still nonsense. There are customers currently on V1 and V2 who are paying the lower SC.
I’m on V2 and pay the lower standing charge which has not changed and nor have I been notified of any change
    same here

Just signed up to the v3 Gas tracker, already with Octopus for electric on the 'Go' tariff.  Having looked at the likely gas rates come October, the 11p cap looks attractive. Also given that the current SVT rate with EDF which I am currently on is higher than the current tracker rate, I think this work out OK in medium term.

Gas Tracker looks good for the long term as well if Cornwalls predictions are right.

Thanks @QrizB , @tlcgrantham & @davieba - I was beginning to doubt my own sanity, what with all the banging my head against an Octopus brick wall...😖

After yet more back & fore, Octopus have, all of a sudden, offered me Tracker v2, initially effective from today, but with the option to have it backdated (at least to the 1st of May, but possibly back to the middle of April) - can anyone think of any reason(s) to not have it backdated?

I don’t know what tariff rates you’re currently on but I’ve averaged 5.75pkw/h for the second half of April and 4.65pkw/h  for May. Far lower than SVT of 7.28pkw/h and there’s the saving of 12p daily on the standing charge to factor in as well. Grab it quickly before they change their mind.

27.9p/kWh electrcity, 35.98p/day (effective i.e. after 'Loyal Octopus' SC discount).

No brainer for gas. Probably worth taking Electricity as well.

I've requested to join the gas tracker only, partly because the electricity tracker makes my cost savings from solar pretty impossible to accurately work out!
4.29kWp Solar system, 45/55 South/West split in cloudy rainy Cumbria.

If the predictions of over 11pkw/h for SVT come true Tracker won’t cost you anymore but if Qrizbs predictions are more accurate you’ll be better off. My moneys on the latter.
