Gas back to 4p today. Good job I gave the hot water a boost last thing last night 😁.

Electricity down to 14p which more than makes up for it at this time of year.

ETA: we should enjoy this while we can, as there wil be sobbing to come!

Do you think being on the tracker people spend more time working out how to save money, add in solar and it could be the source of daily angst for some always trying to max the return.

For a personal point of view I think a tracker and solar would take up a lot of my time I am very mathematical and cost based person, always have been.

Interesting to know people's thoughts that run tracker and or solar as to whether it rules their lives more?

I would have thought with Agile there would be more of a danger of spending too much time planning when to do things to save money, followed by Go (Faster) and Economy 7. I've been on all of these tariffs at one time or another, and Agile was the only one that had me doing any serious thinking about load shifting because it would be different every day. With Tracker, the best you can do is take a peek at tomorrow's wholesale price and estimate whether it would be cheaper do run your washing machine or do some batch cooking tomorrow, but there aren't many things you can put off for a day vs shifting within a day.
In the end it is not really much different to using a weather forecast to plan your activities.

As above. With Tracker it is just a quick look to decide whether to do washing, dishwasher, cooking, heat water etc today or tomorrow.

I imagine this pales compared to managing time of day use with solar or Agile.
Or even optimising time of day depending on weather  for best COP for heat pump

Per my signature info I have solar, Go and Tracker and I quite enjoy it :)
Checking the weather forecast and the day's Tracker prices has become part of my morning routine. Based on those pieces of info I decide whether to enable the timed switch on my immersion heater, or whether to leave it to the gas boiler.
At this time of year it's usually the former, and in winter it's the latter; spring and autumn get a bit more challenging!

I can't seem to find a page with the gas prices on Marex, at least not on my phone.

Marex don't publish it, unlike Nordpool for electric. I'm sure they'd be happy to sell you a subscription but I think it's quite expensive ...
Octopus update their numbers on the "My Account" page etc. at midnight (I've checked) so if you're still awake in 78 minutes you can check there!
