Thanks @rdone, it’s lovely to see you and I’m so glad you appreciate bill paying too.I have a huge panic if I think I owe anybody anything so want to settle any payment as soon as I can (and feel happy doing it)! I wish I’d had the same panic when I signed up for the loans 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning ☀️ Happy Friday ☀️ Happy pay day ☀️Oh lovely, lovely pay day! Up early to pay bills. The big birthday present is done (£280), the pet food is cleared (so the cc is back to zero), money has gone to pots, savings and £50 p.w. allocated to personal spends. My main account has all the dd’s covered. There should be £35 left at the end of May to go to loan 1 as an overpayment, but instead of my usual pay now, panic later, I will wait and sensibly do this before next pay day as a little safety net to stop me hitting the pots.
loan 1 will be down to just over £1k and loan 2 will be under £7k when the payments go out this time. I will update exact figures next week.Yesterday I cashed £5.64 from surveys and that went straight into my birthdays & treats pot.
so after that flurry of movement I now need to get a grip and stick to my weekly spend limit. I haven’t allocated fuel this month as I have an almost full tank in my car and the heating oil is an ok level. I will need to account for these next month, but won’t have a big birthday present then!
So I had a lovely time, but now back to frugality....
Have a wonderful day diary friends, I hope the sun shines for you, the spends are low and the happiness levels are high ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Just popping back in to blow my own trumpet 🎺....it’s 4.40pm on pay day and I’ve not bought anything yet, nothing, nada, zilch. Oh how exciting if I make it to an NSD on pay day 😮...crosses fingers and rubs dogs head for luck!Perhaps I should go straight to bed after work to avoid temptation? Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Friday to you too and well done. I have my fingers crossed for your NSD. It was my payday too and I've only bought the food items on my shopping list. A very small shopping list. It's amazing what can be achieved if you concentrate isn't it?5

A NSD on payday can officially be classed as a miracle 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6

Popping in to say hello & well done on getting to payday!
Why don't you join the NSD thread? Run by the lovely cathybird.
You decide what you are going to count at the beginning of each challenge.
ie I don't count food or petrol or cat food unless I go over budget.
