Well no one should go to a big shopping centre and not spend @Naomim, how joyless would that be! You have the added trials of an 11 yr old to contend with...when my step daughter was young I couldn’t drive within 50 miles of a shopping centre without suddenly having a Claire’s carrier bag on her knee...it was like witchcraft!

Mine's a complete tomboy so Claire's is swerved. But like her mother she indulges in pens, pads and stationery. We've spent a small fortune in Smiggle over the years and yesterday The Works. To be honest she's not much of a shopper and rarely asks to go and I don't need an excuse not to do housework 😂

Lovely. When I was young it was always a Saturday trip to WHSmiths to spend our pocket money....no smiggle or kindle in the ‘olden days’ 😬 ...and housework is always there! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I can remember exactly when I discovered the Pratchett books. I was 19 years old and we were in the Forbidden Planet bookshop just off Tottenham Court Road (we'd already been to Foyles). I've never laughed so much reading books. I'm definitely one of the Wyrd sisters.
Today will be an NSD. I have gardening on my mind. I have a constant "to do" list which keeps me from being bored and saves me from internet shopping. I don't beat myself up that some items like "paint the shed" may stay on it for a couple of months - it's all down to timing. Making cheese scones is also on the list but that may be carried over until tomorrow or Tuesday depending on how much I hurt after the gardening.
Leave that online basket alone WW. That's the kind of overbuying that I'm trying to avoid by doing the daily shop during the week. Besides, if we run out of snacks we could make some?3 -
@CRANKY40 Mort is my favourite, I read that so many times.I’m not a great fan of gardening, I’d like to be, but it just seems like constant effort. Next doors looks like national trust and ours looks more like David Attenborough will come creeping out of the undergrowth 🤣 we keep the grass short, but we also have a small wood of trees down a banking and lots of bushes and wild places. It’s very much a wildlife garden with lots of pheasants, bunnies, an odd grouse and every garden bird you can imagine. We had 7 wrens lodging in a house Martin nest over winter (it fell down with the weight so we put up a man made one and they all moved in there instead). So my excuse is I don’t want to upset the wildlife!
I took dog for a drive this morning and now it’s between scrubbing the kitchen or crafting...anything spend free I guess! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Definitely crafting - it's Sunday after all. Lol at taking the dog for a drive.1

🤣 she’s old and limpy, a drive is as close to a long walk as she gets, but it’s her favourite thing.
I ended up scrubbing the kitchen ☹️...on the plus side we shouldn’t die of food poisoning this week 😉
and in other news I have cashed a fiver out on Surveys, will that make it a minus NSD or an NSD plus? 🤷🏻♀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I feel like you should be able to bank the survey £5 to offset against some spends. After all, it won't be your money that you're using when you spend it.1

I like your style! I’ve parked it in a pot...3 whole days of admiring them 😁, but if things get tricky....Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
