Good morning and happy Saturday 🥳
I was in the garden before 6am with dog as she couldn’t function on weekend time, but then went back to bed and had some pretty weird dreams (big supermarket bread ovens in the kitchen anyone? Checkout by the back door? Brother you’ve never had?)
I managed possibly my first ever payday NSD yesterday (excluding bill paying), so that was fun (and very trying).
I have joined the NSD challenge and will aim for 15 in May.
I will need the next kindle in my series soon, but have about £6 in prolific that I’m waiting to get approved, then I can get the next 2 books for free 😬 Who would have thought I’d get so tight so quickly 😉
No real plans for today, but we’ll be having sausage and onion in brioche for a fat Saturday lunch from stores. I’m hoping to clock up my first NSD of May today, but I won’t count my chickens just yet!
My payments won’t all come out until next week (some delayed by the BH), but then I’ll be able to update my figures in the pay your debts off by Christmas 2021 challenge. I didn’t do overpayments last month or this month, so will need to crack on with those in June if I’m to make it by Christmas.
Have a great Saturday everyone ☀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I don’t get very many senses of achievement, so I love my book list 🤣 (and it’s a really pretty witches spells notebook too). Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I have a spreadsheet with tabs for the books I’ve read with comments/scores out of 10. Plus a tab for those I want to read. Yes I know I need to get out more 🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I have to admit that scoring my reading material has never occurred to me. For me to want to read something again it probably has to be a 10 anyway. Witches spell book notebook you say? Blessed Beltane to you then 😊3

Good morning and happy Sunday ☀️Yesterday I got NSD1 under my belt for May...I won’t lie, it was hard! I put lots of things in my on line basket and then saved them for later. I almost bought snacks (we have some in), chocolate (same), books (I compromised and chose 3 free ones that are obviously the start of a series and aim to suck you in to the rest, but good to try and see if they are worthy of spending on) and biscuits (will need to get some more this month of the mini bags, but not yet).
Because I wasn’t buying or going out it all felt a bit joyless and boring. I had things to do, but they didn’t feel very entertaining and I was glad to make it to the end of the day and go to bed!
I did manage to apply for a new fixed rate mortgage term as ours is about to expire. System issues meant I’d been trying for 2 days and had several phone calls, but they managed to sort whatever was glitching in the end. This should save us about £45 per month from our current deal, so that’s excellent.
I’m hoping today will be better. Today I will try to find joy in the little things.
Have a great Sunday 🧁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
