Tbh, I’m still topping up pots based more on need and timings, than to an exact budget. It does help to keep things that are coming up in mind though 😊

Good morning and happy Thursday ☀️ The sun is out this morning, but sadly I had to draw a curtain to see my work monitor 😣 I wonder if it will last until Saturday ?
Yesterday I blew my calories with a glass of wine and a sprinkling of cheese on my pasta (I drank the wine,I didn’t sprinkle it).I was so over going up points of a pound every day this week while doing all the steps and staying in a deficit. It makes no sense! Today I stayed the same as yesterday, so maybe wine actually helps! Anyhow, back on the wagon today. I may get to me desired size by 2027 at this rate 😖
My mum announced that she had lost some weight recently by just watching her portion sizes, so it can’t be an age thing, it must just be a WW thing! I shall keep plodding!
My mum has said I can have a birthday present around the £100 mark this year. Very generous, but I really have no clue what to ask for, so I have been cruising the internet for a few days. Normally I would ask for posh chocolate or biscuits. Any ideas what I would like?
I hope you all have a fabulous sunny day 🌷

  • Is there something pretty or useful you'd like for your garage room when it's done that you have room to store in the meantime?

Sadly I think the garage room is going to be too expensive to be done this year, otherwise it would be a lovely idea.

I would be asking for £100 of books or plants, but that’s probably just me! 😉😂

  • How about asking for/making yourself a nice 'advent' hamper for the rest of this year or until your next birthday?
@KajiKita has just ordered a lovely 2025 calender and if you saw one you like you could open that in January, you could get a white/rosè/red wine for a bonus treat for different seasons, an occasional box of lindt or favoured choccies, a book for snuggling up with when weather gets really horrid in November, a packet of seeds or voucher for planting out for spring in autumn, etc

Kindle or kindle credit? Is there a decent beauty box that appeals? A stripy kitten (that one might just be me). Cashmere dressing gown.  Decent stainless steel border fork and spade.

I burn with the need to buy a kindle scribe at the moment, even though the sane and frugal head knows I'll never use it enough to justify the money and I own many notepads but oh I want one.

A year’s subscription to a beauty box? Although I really love @redofromstart’s idea of a stripy kitten 😻

Oh I would love a kitten, but a ginger one or a Persian grey to replace my much missed boys. I already have 2 stripies and 2 blacks, so I’m not sure I could justify another…sigh.
My TBR kindle pile is huge, but it’s still tempting.
Thanks redo for sending me down a kindle scribe rabbit hole!
Pip I’m all about instant gratification, an advent wouldn’t last a month without me having a little treat from future me 😅
Cashmere anything is for people without clicky paddy cats I think. My world record was 1 day with a nice cotton t shirt before it had claw holes, so cashmere feels risky 😖
I love the M&S beauty bags and advents SA, but I’m not sure I’d want a monthly subscription as a friend sent me a single month glossy box and I wasn’t blown away with that. It had some strange bits.
    I’m terrible with presents!
