  • Do you have a weekend away pot? Could you ask for a contribution to that, or tickets to a show or exhibition and then pay for travel and stay from own spending pot if budget allows?

I don’t pip….because pets! Elderly dog can’t be left for more than a few hours now. Cats are fine for a day, they do nowt but sleep anyway 😅 No shows or exhibitions up here (apart from the ones I put on inadvertently by myself 🤭). MrWW will be taking me to my favourite eatery (summer fruit sundae anyone?) so that’s covered. Aren’t I awkward! There are some very posh trainers I have been eyeing up from corcorose…they have glitter hearts, or rainbows, or stars on and feed my inner child! I may go for those, but which to choose? I’ve also been wondering about a silk pillowcase…supposed to stop hair breakage (although I do plaît it like a 70’s tv granny) and be good for saving your face from wrinkles….how did it come to this 😅🤣
It is raining like I should consider building an ark this morning! I did some extra steps on my walking pad before work as it was too sludgy to stamp in the garden. Hopefully there will be a tiny break in the clouds over the weekend, if not my big walks will be soggy ones!
I hope you all have a fabulous day. ☀️☔️☔️☔️☔️

I haven’t seen my dad since I was 14 so Father’s Day is always a bit strange for me. I do have some good memories of him though.

I get the regret at not having had important conversations with your dad when you could, but please put down any thoughts of having let him down. Whatever it was you think you did or didn’t do that might have disappointed him, I suspect it’s more in your head than it ever was in his, plus you are looking at this with hindsight, from a wiser, probably more settled and happy place. It is always easy to think that we could’ve / should’ve done things differently but we always react as best we can at the time, in the moment and circumstances that we are in. Be kind to yourself.

    Thanks @KajiKita that’s very kind.
@Sun_Addict I’m glad you have the good memories too. 14 is an awkward age to have such upheaval.
@jwil I do hope so….there is something so joyful about sparkly trainers 😁
Today I stayed the same weight as yesterday, but I am now hovering up and down the next pound (11.7 and various points), so that’s positive. Next week I hope to be hovering up and down on the pound below. No matter how well I track calories or how much exercise I get I can’t seem to crack the art of speedy weight loss. I have lost almost half a stone since Christmas so just over a pound a month, which is ridiculous 😅 I’ll still be moaning about this next year (sorry) 😬
The sun is out today (of course it is…now I’m at my desk for the duration), but I did do 15 mins on the walking pad before I sat down.
I don’t have any money news, but did batter my spends over the last few weeks (and it was very enjoyable), so now have to go steady for 2 weeks until pay day. I have £50 per week left, which is fine and sticking to it means I don’t need to raid any pots. I did have an unexpected £35 in needing a dreamies bulk buy top up….they had plenty to last the month, but somehow inhaled them all and have decided that the ample boxes of Felix treats are no good this month (once they’d eaten all the crispies). I took this out of my spending money as the pet food budget doesn’t reset until next month.
i hope you all have a very happy Monday ⭐️☀️🌷

I hope the furries appreciate the sacrifice of you topping up THEIR treats from YOUR treat fund … 😉😊
