Thanks for everybody’s insights. It’s really odd as I don’t feel hungry as I am having regular meals and bulking up with salad and veg, so I feel like my body shouldn’t think there’s a famine. I did over 13k steps yesterday and over 10k steps today, but I’ll be back to much less during the week. I shall keep on next week, but then it’s holidays the week after where I will have 4 days of meals out and puddings 😁 if I put a stone on I’ll be outraged 🤭Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@WinterWarrior what about more protein? Recently diagnosed as diabetic and the advice seems to be much more protein than anything else. I am struggling as I am a complete carb fiend! Xx

Good morning and happy Monday ⭐️☀️
I do feel a bit happier with this Monday, as next week I’m on holiday 😁 it will be one of those ‘two weeks work in one’ kind of weeks, but the light is on at the end of the tunnel.I went down 0.6 of a pound this morning 🎺 Thank you to everyone for your suggestions, solidarity and sympathy…I think the universe was listening 🤭 I went over my calories yesterday by a few hundred, but the exercise will have cancelled it out. So possibly the eating too little comments were right and I jolted something by having a bit more.I did some spending yesterday, ordering an extra present for MrWW’s birthday and some posh chocolates for my grown up niece (who is cat sitting for the family next week when they come and visit) and a new summer wreath for my door. So that was £75 in total. Pay day tomorrow though and I’m looking forward to doing the money shuffle. I am also hoping the oil people will finally take their payment this week, it’s driving me mad that it’s not gone out yet.

I think the more protein thing is a good shout. Apparently it gets harder for us to absorb protein as we get older so I try to add some version of it to every meal or snack whenever I can. Also a complete carb fiend here too but I have cut back massively, or if I have it I try to eat high fibre versions. It’s not always possible but helpful when I can.KKAs at 15.07.25:

Good morning and happy Tuesday ⭐️ I hardly slept last night. Tossing and turning, it was very annoying. Maybe it’s the excitement of the money shuffle 😅 I will be doing that next.
i lost another 0.5 of a pound this morning, woohoo. Is it finally kicking in or is it because I ate more protein yesterday and went over my calories by 150? I had 2 medium boiled eggs with a salad lunch and a tin of tuna with tea (in a whole meal crimpit with 30g of cheese and a scrape of mayo) to up the protein. Pretty basic, but working with what I have in stock. It was definitely the animal biscuits that pushed me over the target calories, rather than the seedy breakfast toast 🤭
i failed miserably with the step count as I was really busy at work all day.
i am off to do the money shuffle, but after a relaxed spendy month I think I will still be about £300 up on last month, including the oil payment (which they haven’t taken yet..grrrr) and some nice treats like the nail kit, so I’ll be happy with that.I hope you all have a brilliant day ☀️🌷(spellcheck tried to auto fill brilliant to blessed, like I’m some kind of hedge witch 😬).Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and happy Wednesday ⭐️✨
Almost at the hump!I came in at £320 saved last month, which isn’t too bad considering how relaxed I was.
The only thing that is annoying me is that the oil payment still hasn’t gone out 😖 I might have to chase them again. I try and pay the minute I order, but they just won’t process it and it’s been a month now.One of my nails popped off yesterday so I changed them all last night. I’m not loving how my natural nails look underneath, but they are so thin they’d all break off if I leave them uncovered, so I redid them and will give them a break after the holidays. They last set lasted a week, but as they don’t chip, it’s pretty good for someone as clumsy as me 😬
The scales went down 0.3 of a pound this morning, so that’s 3 days in a row. Marvellous! I don’t think I’m doing much different apart from I was on 1400 cals and nothing shifted, I went down to 1300 and nothing shifted, I went back up to 1400 and now it’s moving a bit. So maybe I have tricked myself into thinking the good times are here 🤭 We are planning fish and chips for tea, but I am going to share my fish with dog (we usually have one each) and just a few chips. I will count it all in as best I can, but it’s certainly more deep fried than I’ve had for a month.I hope you all have a good day ☀️🌷Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
