Four_Seasons said:I am starting to volunteer at a NT property as a meet and greet volunteer that's if I can remember all the history of the property!! Have a lovely weekend xI dropped the car this morning for mot v2. They have promised the ramp is now working, but it looked really busy. I’m hoping it will sail through, as the work was done last week, as I need a lift to get it and poor MrWW is on nights tonight.I hope everyone has a great Friday…almost the weekend! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I agree it's hard when accounting for someone else. Maybe try and get a definite out of him in the morning, and if he's not keen, then just go and do something yourself anyway?

Do you like taking photos?I have joined 52frames dot com
its a weekly challenge you can do on your phone or camera with the idea of getting out and producing a photo each week.
There are around 3000 people from across the world submitting a photo each week, so I am nowhere near good enough to take one in the top 3, but I enjoy thinking about what I am going to take and then doing something each and every week. Some of the photos are stunning, and give you another way of thinking about the subject. This week’s subject is Abstract. Every photo has to be actually taken that week and then submitted by midnight on Sunday.2 -
Mmmm….the 52 frames sound interesting.
I shook off Dh today and went for a swim. I can’t remember the last time I used my gym membership. I enjoy going out with Dh and ds but sometimes I just like to do my own thing. I’m actually quite enjoy being at home this week. I’ve joined the WI and U3A. I’m still not convinced they fill me with joy……but I needed to do something to make myself get out and about as I could have easily gone done a dark hole when I finished work and not passed over the doorstep. I did try to have a walk every day but that seems to have gone by the wayside just recently. I enjoy doing crafts but just can’t motivate myself recently. So much time on my hands but I don’t do half of what I used to do.
Hope you find yourself a hobby 👍January spends - £587.583 -
I generally prefer to read or be on my own if I'm honest. I do like silence.Just me but I'd be sending the bag back and carry on looking for the one that isn't a compromise with the open top. Love a nice bit of suede. Mr Redo bought some lovely teal suede to make me a bag when he is better at leatherwork. I think a bucket bag with a sealed top and pockets would be just perfect. My mortgage free diary: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6498069/whoops-here-comes-the-cheese

I followed the 52frames on Instagram, it looks interesting. I do have solitary hobbies and also enjoy walking, but sometimes it’s just a bit soul destroying having no one to chat to…although equally soul destroying taking an unenthusiastic other half who moans about everything from uncomfortable footwear, the wrong kind of clothing, the wrong weather, etc. 😅 Seriously you’d think it was an expedition to undiscovered lands rather that an hours stroll 🤭. Car journeys contain the same level of messing…if I go out I jump in the car, start it up and set off, but MrWW sets up his listening preferences, checks his mirrors, phone placement, sunglasses, comfort levels, seatbelt placement…it can take 5 or 10 minutes to leave the drive 🤣 we are such different animals.I also enjoy silence @redofromstart and never have the tv on if I’m in the house on my own. I love the colour and shape of the bag so I’m going to try and save it…I have Mia tui pouches I can just transfer in, but still need a level of closure across the top. It’s just such a perfect purple.
I think there are some SWI places around, but I’m not sure if they are geared up for workers and I’m a bit too shy to ask 😬 @milann I’m not sure if that would fill me with joy either. We need to find our tribe…I’d love to scoop up all my MSE friends if I could, you are all wonderful 🌟
in good news the car passed with no advisories….which is just as it should be after all the work it’s had done recently, but still a nice relief. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I think you mentioned a while ago that although you WFH there is an office you can go to. Is it worth checking it out and maybe going in once a week/month. You might then make a network of local friends who you can go out with occasionally xxslowly working towards being MF one small over payment at a time :T3

Good morning and happy Saturday everyone ☔️☕️
We are going out for lunch today and (gasp) I think I’m going to try something new! Every time I do this I’m slight disappointed, but I’d love to find another favourite 😅 the steak melt baguette with roasted peppers does sound good. It will of course be calorie counted to the best of my ability. I really have stalled out with the weight loss so need to make a big effort again. I’ve been averaging out the same for weeks now. I think it’s a combination of being too busy to get any steps in and being too relaxed about squeezing in an extra biscuit! When my calories creep up to 1500 with no real exercise that seems to be my stay the same count…which is awful as you don’t get a lot for 1500! Anyhow I’ll try and have a push for the next week and see if I can get it moving again. My new jeans fit, but are on the snug side so I can’t rest on my laurels (or my spare tyres 🤭).
MrWW got a ring doorbell in the prime deals and installed it yesterday….I’m so impressed. It jingled on my phone yesterday and I went and opened the door for the post while the poor man was stacking up the cat food deals on the step, I don’t think he’d even pressed the button 😁
