Hope you had a good day.  I behaved with the Prime deals and only bought some headphones for less than £20.  At least you bought stuff you will use and so will save in the long term.

Well the power came back an hour early so that was something. I did suggest to MrWW that I take him for lunch, but got a mumbled ‘we’ll see’ that amounted to nothing! So I guess I saved money, but feel like I wasted a whole day. I’m determined to start doing more things that bring me joy, but it’s hard going when you also have to account for someone else 😖. In the end I did a bit of cleaning, made up some more all purpose cleaner from my environmentally friendly ingredients and listened to an audio book. I unpacked my new bag, but, although I love it, I’ve found it has an open top…a pickpockets dream!! So it’s not going to work for every day wear. I’m going to have a think about how I can add a zip or something that will fully fasten it, but as it’s suede it might be tricky.
The garage rang to let me know the ramp is fixed, so at least I’m good to drop the car off before work tomorrow. Fingers crossed it sails through after all the repairs it’s had this year..it would be rude not to 😅
I hope you all had a good day ☕️🌟

Hope the car behaves itself for you.
What would you do to bring you joy…..other than cleaning?

I don’t know…definitely not cleaning! But last week at the cinema I realised how much I was enjoying that experience and realised how very small my world has got. It’s mostly just work and a lunch out and a food shop, that’s about it! I struggle as I don’t have a local network of friends, MrWW works shifts and when he’s not working he’s not always enthusiastic about doing things. So I need to just do things regardless I think, I just need to push myself a bit. Any suggestions gratefully received 😊

The older I get the more confidence I have to do things on my own so maybe have a think about what you enjoy doing? Are you creative, active or enjoy the theatre or cinema? My husband loves pottering at home and when I took early retirement I was adamant I was no longer going to do the making tea and sandwiches and act as labourer while he does diy which he did our whole married life. I joined a book club and then the ramblers and U3a and am happy to do museums, cinema, theatre on my own. I do a lot of coastal hiking alone and lately a few people started to ask to come too and I go out cycling with a local friend too. My husband has now got better about suggesting things to do too now he realises I won’t stay at home just because he wants to. Lots of my friends love going to the theatre alone.

Nothing up here! There are a few random groups for retirees and mothers during working hours, but I never found anything else.
@enthusiasticsaver some good ideas for entertaining myself, thank you. No theatre sadly, but plenty of outdoors.
