Well, happy Thursday 🌟 I’ll be glad when this week is done, it’s just so busy. The bath did get fitted..hurrah…but the taps are the wrong way around 🙄 the one marked cold is spurting hot water…sigh! I have left them a message so fingers crossed for a fix. They also scratched my freshly painted windowsill, but I can just do another coat on that.I hope you are all having a great week ☕️☕️☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Just caught up @WinterWarrior. Hope you can get the taps sorted out! As a single person after my divorce I found I had to make the effort to go out and do things myself, and I'm doing so much more than I used to with my ex. He was a gamer and would be happy to sit in all weekend and I felt sort of bad going off without him, whereas now I go off and visit places and do stuff whenever I feel like it
.
I live in a small rural town, and found a Ladies Circle group via FB (only for up to 45 years old, but Tangent groups for 45+ ladies) that was an absolute life saver, especially during the pandemic. Made loads of friends and we do thing outside of organised events as well. Most places have some sort of camera group I have noticed if you are into that, and a lot of places have choirs, or music, book or art groups. I think its really important to develop a social life outside your other half if possible, and that makes the time together more special.Live the good life where you have been planted.

The ladies circle sounds brilliant @Elisheba… I’d need an over 45 group (sob), but I’ll try searching. My struggle is because MrWW works shifts I’m never quite sure which weekends I’m entertaining myself, but some options would be great.
the plumber came back today…no notice given so cats were all over and I had a stressy time trying to find where they were hiding from the stranger danger and making sure he shut the door each time he went to his van, while also on conference calls 😖 The taps are now spurting their rightful water temperatures…I’m just hoping he didn’t twist them weirdly underneath as it’s impossible to see what he did now it’s all back together…but for now it’s working. He adjusted the shower door, but still forgot to cut off the overhanging seal at the top, even though I reminded him he’d said he’d do it last time. He was clearly a bit huffy at coming back 🙄 I will be desperately waiting for the invoice now (which better be as quoted 😅), because I do hate having unpaid bills. They unsettle me as I like to know the money in my account is my own.I had an extra spoon of rice yesterday and put nearly a pound on 😢 I really need to get my head in gear, but have had 2 florentines for lunch and am hopeful of going out for tea tonight. I want another of the lovely salads, but they are probably very calorific. And of course a dessert 🍨. Tomorrow I need to up my game.I hope you are all having a great Friday 🌟Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

😂😂you sure it was the rice and not the florentines that put the 1 lb on😂😂 it’s so hard but you’re doing really well as you’re still enjoying life and getting out and about.
Plumber should have done the job right first time. We had to get the man who did our flagging back and they were more level before he levelled them. He ended up getting rid of the young lad who did them and I felt awful….he should have checked and guided the youngster….not gibe much him a job beyond his capabilities. Anyway he turned from a lovely amenable chap to a grumpy oaf. I wouldn’t have him back…..he ended up doing the job again himself.January spends - £587.582 -
I hate waiting for bills too, I like to get them paid and done.
How big was your spoon if it made you put on a pound??Sorry though, I hope it comes off soon.

The florentines were the day after the (tiny) spoon of rice…I paid for those today 😢
It will probably take a week of being good to get to where I was 2 days ago…it’s always the way.The bath should be ok to use tonight 😃. Today I went through a set of drawers of mine and one of MrWW’s…to my shame I filled 4 bin bags and the drawers are still reasonably full 😬 there are more to go through along with the wardrobe. It proves the point admirably that it’s a clutter problem, not a storage problem. I have been fairly ruthless with things I haven’t worn for years and things that look worn and raggy…and of course thing’s completely out of fashion or that don’t fit. I have so much more to go through. It makes it sound like I’m a super hoarder with tunnels through the stacks of stuff, but I promise the carpets are visible, it’s more that the cupboards are rammed and there’s some overflow on top of them 🤭 There’s no excuses for not keeping up to it though, but I do struggle to part with things ‘just in case’.I haven’t left the house today, but will be getting the food shopping tomorrow so will see the outside world. I’ll do a bit more clearing later. I’d like to get it done so I can maybe think about decorating.@milann it really is awful calling tradespeople back. Why can’t they check their work and have some pride? This one left his own rubbish in our garage too, like he couldn’t even be bothered to take that home with him!@jwil glad it’s not just me. It’s not that you’d spend it by accident, but I still stress just in case I do 😅
