I was really young when I first had curry. I know it was a weekly regular by the time I was 8 (1953). I believe that my father learnt from someone during the war & taught my mother. We did wonder if it was in South Africa but he was not exactly communicative about his experiences like so many men. We only discovered he'd been in SA because he told us about it raining very heavily & them walking through a fountain without realising.

That’s a great story @badmemory.Today I cleared out 2 chest of drawers of MrWW’s and identified another 2 bin bags full of ill fitting and old/worn clothes for the recycling bin at the tip. And still it’s not as roomy as I’d like.I called at the co*p for some bits and had a muffin that I definitely earned 🤭 Fitbit thought I’d been swimming with all the arm movements from the clearing and cleaning.

Everything is fine, just work and the usual here 😬
I am considering closing my diary, so don’t worry if I disappear, I will still be around to comment on everyone else’s 🤭 As I don’t have any debt now, I’m really just rambling on about biscuits and my efforts to save, which isn’t really what debt free diaries is about.I have been watching a few YouTube people on various spending rants and why we shouldn’t buy things we don’t need, they are all very sensible and I’m hoping they rub off on me 😅
The weight loss has definitely stalled, so I need to make an effort to get it moving again. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

It is also about having got out of debt making sure you stay out & avoiding sliding back in. I think that is why so many stay around.

I hope you stay, I enjoy reading your diary. I’ve always thought there should be a part of the forum for folks who’ve paid debt off and want to stay that way. A bit like maintaining once you’ve lost weight 😆I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)6
