Hello everyone! I've been keeping up with this lovely thread but hadn't posted yet - coffee talk brought me out of the shadows lol! We use a stovetop espresso paired with an electric milk frother jug. What's nice about this arrangement is it's cheap and doesn't take up too much space. TBH the stovetop stays out as a) we use it all the time and b) it's kinda s£xy! Aeropress are great too though! Over lockdown we tried to do our bit for the small business by finding all kinds of mini roasteries around the country and trying out their beans. As it tends to be more expensive, we alternate between the L1dl ground (which is lovely) and the small companiesChoose kind4

Hello @Hazelnutty you are so welcome. Please do join in 🌺
I used to get Lidl beans and couldn’t fault them for the price, but then they stopped having them in 😦, then we tried a local place, but it moved 😦 so I swapped to the prime order. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I don't like Lidl coffee as it gives me a sore throat, no other coffee has ever done this to me.
We (OH) use a manual milk frother which is very easy and in our house gets plenty of use, mainly for dd.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Loving the coffee talk. Like @Hazelnutty I am a fan of the stovetop although it has to be 100% stainless steel...
When I have my own home again I think I will start using beans and a grinder too. Why not?If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

Thanks for the warm welcome @WinterWarrior!
@doingitanyway We started off on the stovetop journey with a Aldi middle aisle 6 shot job but found an Italian 12-shot monster that is my new favourite thing!Choose kind3 -
Stovetop ones are very stylish!I guess the question now is what biscuits do we all have with our coffee 😁 I really like separate mini packets so they don’t go soft (see that’s money saving, lol ). We’ve nearly got to the bottom of another box of border biscuits and are working our way through some mini packs of iced gems 🙃
i really love m&s white choc chip cookies, but we don’t have an m&s up here 😢
And @Hazelnutty I love everyone joining in (but also welcome all quiet readers too), everyone is welcome…even the dark chocolate biscuit lovers 🤢🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Wednesday 🌸🌺 halfway through the week (almost).
im so tired this morning. Today the payslips should hopefully be on line so I can do my July budget. I’d like to get that down and keep to the weekly spending money next month. I need to be much more mindful and disciplined so I can begin to save! I did some projections on my spreadsheets yesterday so I can see where my savings should be by Christmas and by this time next year. I will colour in each month as I hit it, much like I did with the loan payments and hopefully seeing it build up, rather than the loans go down will be a refreshing change.
I hope you all have a wonderful day ☀️☕️🍫Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
