Good Morning and happy Thursday ☀️ I can almost smell the weekend from here!
Lots to do today, but I have tomorrow booked off so I can get to the post office.I’m hoping the elusive pay slip will be there today and I won’t have to wait until Monday ☹️I haven’t been at all good this month and will have some money to ‘pay back’ on payday 😖 Next month I’m kicking back in with the spending money. I’m thinking £10 a day might work, rather than £50 a week. That would give me the option to buy a book, sweets, whatever, or save for something bigger. I kept blowing the £50 and crashing out, plus the windfall got me over excited. Now I have to pull back and behave.Today will be NSD9…shameful! I’m aiming for 15 and fast running out of time.

Good morning!
Sounds like a good plan, and how nice your work week ends today ❤
I've heard/read about Dave Ramsey but never watched any of his videos. I like all the quotes you've been sharing, I might watch something during lunch today.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

@jokono he’s famous for his rants and telling people off when they’re silly 😁 some stuff doesn’t translate well, but some is very sensible. There are a lot of his quotes on his Instagram page too.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning. The trouble with the £10 a day thing is that it's tedious. I tried it with the grocery shopping but I don't like food shopping so I found it hard to do. Once or twice a week is more than enough for supermarket shopping. Maybe just do yourself an amazon basket and when it gets to the end of the week decide what goes and what stays with a limit of £50/£60. Allocate one day a week as your shopping day and try to stick to it - possibly Tuesday or Wednesday so that your purchases arrive by the weekend for you to enjoy.
What I would do is double up on week one so that you don't have to wait a whole week to start this - the "do without" thing is never popular in this house. That means you'd have some goodies on the way while you work towards next weeks list. You don't have your big loan to pay so if you started today you could easily pay the money back from next month.4 -
Good morning @CRANKY40. I was thinking I could roll over my £10’s on NSD days (or borrow from them) if required for bigger things, but your idea is good too. This is purely for frittering spends, wants, not needs and should be plenty….if only I can train myself to stop being a twerp! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
