Thanks @efes_shareholder - mostly the leftover stuff round here is from Greggs and that's a no as I'm trying to be healthy. I have Olio too but when I look there's never anything recent.
I came out with a cheap loaf of white bread and a pack of cheap ham for the HT (he requested a ham sandwich, usually £1.50 so for £1.65 he has lots of bread and lots of ham), some Percy pigs for HT's partner, a tub of smooshed avocado for me and some RTC strawberries which brough them down to 5p dearer than the supermarket strawbs and saved me from having to go there.
@WinterWarrior I don't suppose you have a photo shop that does them? We have Max Spielman here and although they're more expensive they run your photo through the computer to check it passes then give you a code as well as your photos. You only need to put the code in when you apply for whatever and it already has your photo. It took me 10 minutes tops to do my new passport.3 -
Like you @WinterWarrior we both need to renew our photo card driving licences and neither of us has a valid passport. OH is not impressed with the extra cost and inconvenience involved.

@CRANKY40, nope, nothing like that here. I don’t believe there’s a photo shop within 200 miles 😢
@doingitanyway the muffin sounded so good, but was that odd mass produced rubbery texture ☹️ A two pack, so still one to go. I would be sadder, but I also got fresh cream slices for me and chocolate eclairs for MrWW.
A parcel coming by Hermes was supposed to be here today…now Amazon says I can ask for a refund if it doesn’t arrive by the 9th 😡

Happy Saturday ☀️☕️🍫
today will be NSD10. I have no need to buy anything. I should be being good, but I still have a cream bun left and a fridge full of chocolate. I risk imminent explosion 💥 but I guess it’s a nice way to go 🤔
I do need to lose weight though…I have rather a lot of jeans I struggle to breathe in and refuse to size up 😦
Moneywise I just need to hold my nerve until Wednesday and not spend anything else!
I shall spend a lot of today hiding with Netflix and my sewing machine.
I hope you all have enjoyable Saturdays 🌺☀️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning!
Good luck with the NSDs and the jeans! Fasting works for me, I just delay the first meal as much as possible and some days I have the first one at 2pm. Sometimes I eat too much in the evening but it still works out overall. But my Mr can't function without breakfast so it's not for everyone. Michael Mosley is my health guru 😅, I saw his "eat, fast, live longer" on iplayer 4 years ago and been doing 5:2 on and off since then.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

@jokono that’s a good idea. When I was young and enthusiastic I used to just live on coffee until tea time every work day…I doubt I could hack that now, but I should try…on Monday (she says as she finishes the last cream bun) …Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I don’t think I could last until 2pm without food 😱 I’m always starving when I get up, I go for a run and have to refuel after that. I have low blood sugar so have to eat little and often. My advice is portion control, I always weigh things like potatoes, pasta and rice and just have a small portion but fill my plate with veg.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)5

Thanks @Sun_Addict, yes portion control can be a problem, plus not moving enough. I don’t eat loads, but I just eat more than I need. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Sunday 🌺
I am doing my June write up today, as I’m thinking about it now and pay day is on Wednesday. I of course had the fabulous windfall, but overall was not good 🙄, so:
The good - the inheritance, meaning I could pay off both loans. I am now loan free (interestingly I have had several emails from the large loan company and flags on the app from my bank, both reminding me they will happily sign me up for £25k each 😖…it’s a trap 🪤!). I now have some savings, but hope to eventually build them up to the inheritance amount, so I haven’t paid debts with it. That may take years.
The bad - I didn’t hit my nsd target. I’m currently at 11, so there aren’t enough days to get to 15. For a few weeks I got a bit carried away with feeling rich and was splashing out £10 here, there and everywhere. I easily spent £400 more than I should have done.
The ugly - I took £350 from my new savings and now have to pay it straight back on Wednesday. My pots still have £90 in, but my current account has £1.19. That’s pretty shameful ☹️So, aims for July.. pay back the £350 and add some to savings. This should be easier as I no longer have £600 of loan payments.Pay for mot and service…I estimate this will be around £300. If anything needs doing then it will be more and may knock me back on the savings target.Stick to a new spending money allocation of £10 a day/£70 a week/£300 for the month. If I go over my daily, then it reduces the overall amount. If I manage to not spend on some days then each time I have over £25 not spent I will shuffle it to premium bonds, out of the way. That might work…July is my trial month 😬
I need to set up a payment to pb from my bank. So far I have just used a debit card to send my huge £50 savings. I wonder if I will win in August’s prize pick 🤔
Yesterday I made the backing and pinned my quilt, so today will be quilting lines. It will take next weekend too to get that stage done as it’s heavy and fighting gravity while keeping a straight line over hundreds of times is slow going. Netflix helps 😁
I hope everyone has a lovely happy Sunday 🌺🌸🍫🍪☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
