Good luck with July trial month! Sometimes we need to experiment with systems and pots etc to adapt to different circumstances we find ourselves in and that's just fineChoose kind2

Happy Sunday. I like Netflix too and discovered that Notting Hill was on there last night. The HT says that he'll watch it with me. I give him half an hour tops before he asks to switch it off 🤣
Good luck for July. I'm hoping to be more disciplined too. It's easier because there aren't many places that I want to go but then harder because the little spends "to make up for not being able to go anywhere" all add up....3 -
Thanks @Hazelnutty. Yes @CRANKY40 it’s the little spends that add up. I like a reward, often the minute I’ve pressed buy I’m looking for the next one 🙄
we do have a week of in July, but nowhere to go really. It might mean higher fuel if he wants driving around, but that’s about it!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I found it easier to set up premium bonds from the premiuim bond site rather than from my bank account. You can also make sure that if you are doing it near the end of the month that it gets there in time.

@WinterWarrior, we seem to have arrived at the same place re weight and fritters.
I have a similar plan for July in that I will be budgeting for £60 a week. You are better than me as if I have any left over I am keeping for a 'sod it' event or for extra fun money
I am aiming for 15 NSDs
Weight wise I find intermittent fasting really helps. Even pushing breakfast to 10 and not eating after 8 is a good fast to start with.
Off to sign up for 15 NSDs (again)

@doingitanyway I usually have a slice of toast at 10, an apple and crisps for lunch, then a normal tea/dinner about 5.30-6 and something sweet/chocolate/an ice cream at about 7.30…so I’m already doing the eating window. Obviously I just eat too many calories for tea and don’t do enough to burn it off. It’s not outrageous eating, but it’s still keeping me over a stone more than I’d like to be ☹️Frittering is just so hard to stop…I need to get into the saving mindset where I enjoy that more than spending, but it’s so hard 😖Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@badmemory did you set up a standing order? I want to leave it as an ad hoc/whenever I have something spare transaction if I can.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Could you swap out your lunchtime crisps for something healthier and more filling, then you wouldn’t need so many calories later on? I usually make a batch of soup on a Sunday out of whatever veg I have in the fridge plus red lentils and tinned tomatoes, a few herbs and spices etc. This lasts me all week and quick to heat up in the microwave on a working day. I know it sounds boring but it’s filling and nutritious. Or you could save some of your evening meal for the next day’s lunch. Just a couple of suggestions. It doesn’t matter what time of the day you eat your calories, having more calories PM won’t make you gain weight but having more calories than you burn during the course of the day will. So it doesn’t make any difference what time of the day you eat those calories, although eating heavy meals before you go to bed might play havoc with your digestion and keep you awake. I’m sure by making a few tweaks to your diet you could see some positive results.I’m also having a July overhaul, need to spend less and save more 😬You could have a July mantra - eat less, move more - spend less, save more 🤣🤣I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1

@Sun_Addict we need Pom poms for cheering out our new mantra.
the crisps tend to be skips or wotsits under 100 cals. I try to keep lunch less so I have more wiggle room later. Soup is much more sensible, but would possibly be more calories and then I’d still want the crisps. Bad things are my downfall….and once again spell check is trying to ruin me by changing things to thongs…bad thongs (or any thongs) would definitely be my downfall…I want my bum covered, thank you very much 🤣🤣🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
