Monday already 😖 Happy Monday, I’m sure it won’t be too bad 😬🌸
I was hoping for an NSD finally, but it’s prime day(s) and I have a £10 off voucher, so maybe not.
I had ordered an extra bag of coffee beans as we ran out before the monthly order and have been having to use the back up not very nice ones…I got a dispatch note for the extra beans AND the regular order for today..typical! At least we won’t run out this month 🙄
I hope you all have a lovely day 🌺Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Happy Monday!I got my subscription bag Friday but carried on using the ‘other beans’ as there was some left (we’d also previously ran out). There was 1 cup left this morning of the ‘other beans’ but I’d become so sick of having to alter the grinder and still not getting a decent shot I’ve given up and opened my new bag. My coffee this morning was bliss! How do you brew your coffee? Do you use a local roaster for your subs?Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

@MissRikkiC I use coffeemasters through prime, so a good price, free delivery and a bit off as it’s a regular order. The bags have roasting dates on so it’s not the possibly elderly cheap beans. We spent ages trying different ones, but the full bodied espresso beans work for us. I have a lovely bean to cup machine that was half price in the sales 3 years ago, still eye wateringly expensive, but has paid for itself 100 times over! We do a large cup on extra strong, which comes to half way on my stay warm cup, then top up with boiling water and a dash of milk…perfect! Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

The fact that you get a roasting date is a good start; ill check them out! I use a local roaster (Iron and Fire) and feel its reasonable price wise for such delicious coffee. Their customer service is also second to none. That said, i always run out early but i do like having a small bag of someone elses coffee to tide me over.
I love my machine too and despite being relatively new has certainly already saved money in takeouts. Its certainly increased my diary intake though as i like a flat white or cappuccino!Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Mmm, I like a cappuccino when I’m out, but I can’t be doing with faffing with the milk thingummy 😬
We used to use a local shop, but it moved to the next town, then found these, which are very nice and much cheaper. The ‘other beans’ are leaving a nasty aftertaste ☹️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I purchased the machine I have partially due to liking milk based drinks.I hope they will all be gone soon!Mine were actually good beans just a light roast and without changing the internals on my grinder (which I won’t do for the 1 bag) I just couldn’t get a good shot at all. So annoying as well as their tasting notes were pineapple and lemonade…. Ah well.Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

I hope you had a nice quiet Monday!
Did you spend your voucher? The Amazon app kept spamming me with deal notifications today, I have resisted! I did check to see if my favourite ready meal was on offer, it wasn't but I didn't really expected it to be. I've just got some beans soaking and will try to recreate it tomorrow, I think I have everything I need for it. I don't remember cooking with dry beans before, will see how it goes. These are quite old...
One of the first things I'm going to buy when I'm debt free is going to be a bean to cup machine, we had one in my old office and I loved it. We have an espresso machine from Argos, Mr got it for my birthday a couple of years ago, it's doing a good job for now.01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Coffee machines are the one expensive item that really seem to pay for themselves aren’t they? So many gadgets end up in the cupboard, but I use my coffee machine umpteen times a day 😁 @jokono I got mine in the New Years sales about 3 years ago. It’s worth waiting for that kind of a bargain.I did use my voucher…on chocolate 🤭Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
