I might try those thanks S_A. I'm banned from running due to my knee being worn out. \When I asked the doctor giving me the steroid injection in the knee if I could run again his eyes nearly popped out 😂 That would be a "no" then.1

I didn’t manage anything today and tomorrow is mostly training and catching up in between so it will be difficult. I shall have to devise a plan for next week!

Oh my goodness, I just thought I’d catch up on work emails first and got sucked right in!!
Good morning, happy Friday, apologies for my tardiness
I hope you all have wonderful days planned 🌺
the dd for the car loan final payment came out today, so I only have the mortgage left (and 10 years to go).
it’s such a relief to see the payment go out, but also very sad to see that healthy balance shoot right down! My new aim is to build it back up again. My NSD died a death yesterday…I bought vitamins and coffee beans. I have a regular monthly bean order, but for some reason we won’t make it to the next delivery without a top up!Hope you all have lovely days 🌸
oh..and to join the cat puke club, there was a lovely fur ball waiting for me to step in this morning 😦Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh no, I thought you might have slept in
I can't imagine what it feels like to only have the mortgage left, can't wait to get there.
I have a coffee subscription and have 2 bags delivered every month, I change it to 1 when I have an unopened bag close to the next delivery date, then back to 2 again if/when I remember
Have an awesome debt free day!01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Happy Friday to you too and happy "no consumer debt" day as well.2

@jokono mine is 2 per month, but sometimes we get carried away 😯 ☕️
it feels scary having no loans..really weird, like I’m now in charge of my finances unsupervised 🤭 I’m very worried I won’t take saving seriously and will end up in the same position of needing a loan in the future. I’m already worrying about future emergencies, without the loan option I definitely need a safety net for future car replacement, repairs, etc.I think as we’ve said before that putting some into premium bonds might be a safe ‘out of sight’ place to put some money each month. Thanks @CRANKY40 🙃Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Does your bank offer a regular saver account? Mine does and I'm currently transferring my holiday savings pot to it month by month at no extra cost to myself but with extra interest at the end of 12 months. 12 months isn't too long a time to commit to in case plans change and the maximum that I can put in there is £250 a month and it's not "instant withdrawal". That might be a good starting place to get you into the habit.3

@CRANKY40 I have a couple of savings accounts that show on my online banking and I shuffle things across, but it’s instant access and teeny teeny interest rates I think.I’ve always avoided anything that isn’t instant access as I’ve been rather hand to mouth and worry that I can’t grab my money if needed. I do need to change my mindset. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

My mindset is that after 12 years of solo parenting I deserve a decent holiday so I'm not spending that money no matter what. It was just another way of getting a decent interest rate on it. It can be withdrawn if I really needed it but the hoarder in me wants the better rate.5
