Happy windfall day - even if the reason's behind it aren't great you're now in a good position to make some "rest of your life" plans.

The birds here are even eating the suet food in flat trays which they're not really keen on and mealworms are gone almost as soon as I put them out.

Thank you both. One of the loans has been cleared, the other is a bit odd. I applied to clear it off and they set up a one off dd payment which will go out on Friday. So I have to wait until then to be clear.
I need to get nuts for my feeders too, they always seem really expensive, but do last longer than fat balls.
We have about 5 feeders too, some front and some back. The ones in the kitchen garden go a lot faster, but when we have nuts in the back garden we get a woodpecker there, which is always nice to spot 😁. The garden goes all around the house, but I name the sections according to which window I can see them out of 🤣, it’s not that we have a fabulous kitchen garden full of herbs, etc. (Sadly).

I like the idea of naming parts of the garden after the window you can see it out of. Alas, it wouldn't work here as the kitchen is dual aspect and neither is blessed with herbs, vegetables or fruit.

Ah but you could have kitchen washing line garden and kitchen lawn garden, or something like 🙃

I was wondering what your kitchen garden looked like when you mentioned it before 😀
In my head you had a sheltered area with 2-3 walls, some partial, an outdoor stove and lots of potted herbs 😁
Great news about the windfall landing, all the plans and lists you are going to make!

Oh I wish! It’s trees, a wild privet (that cuts it off from the ‘bottom garden’) a washing line, and a stone wall and grass. Kitchen garden sound so stately homes doesn’t it 🤣 it does often have wild rabbits in it 😁
