I use the Neat cleaning stuff, dilutable and comes with refillable metal spray bottles rather than glass or plastic.  They all smell nice so I use them more than I did the nasties in plastic bottles although I am still using up the ones I had.

I bulk bought bicarb/white vinegar off Amzn fairly cheaply.

@redofromstart thanks, I shall look for Neat….down another rabbit hole I go 😁

    Happy Saturday everyone 🌞☕️
We had a lovely meal out yesterday. I’m glad I had a starter though, as I ordered Mac n cheese for the main and it was really, really strong. Much too strong for me, so I won’t make that mistake again there. It wasn’t like the usual place we go to. I ended up eating the chips and side salad, with just a few forkfuls of the main. I’d have had even less, but I was trying not to be rude 😅 I washed it down with an ice cream sundae 😁
In the afternoon MrWW went out to play and I was at a total loss of what to do. I ended up ordering the products for the Nancy B green cleaning 😖 I trimmed it down from my earlier list, but it was still about £50…it should last for years though, knowing how enthusiastic I am about cleaning 🤣 I did like the look of neat, but thought I’d give mixing my own a go.
The outside paint I ordered turned up from its holiday to Ireland, so that was a relief.
I have no idea or plans for today at all. What are you all getting up to?

Did the paint bring back holiday pictures?  😅

Let us know how cleaning works. I'm using method at the moment, which is kinder to the environment ingredient wise, but still in plastic.

Boo to the mac and cheese, so annoying as it was a treat after so much work with your diet.

We have a school fete to attend today, and maybe more work at the allotment later when it cools down.

I hope the weather is nice up there, enjoy the weekend!

    @jokono the paint didn’t bring back photographs…just rude! 🤭
Some cleaning items came today (baking soda, citric acid and some eco washing up liquid (which was possibly unnecessary, but in for a penny, in for a pound and if I’m trying to be eco I should tick all the boxes)). I am still waiting for a big thing of white vinegar and some surgical spirit, along with a few essential oils and new cleaning cloths. Annoyingly most ingredient’s come in plastic 😖…but I suspect they will last a long, long time. I did use white vinegar a while ago to get limescale off my taps and it was better than anything I’ve ever tried. I have waterfall taps so hanging a bag of vinegar over the end wouldn’t work, so instead I seeped kitchen roll in the vinegar and laid it over all the trouble spots overnight. It was like magic.
Today we had lunch out and went to L1dl for the food shop. Then we had someone come to price up gates as ours are falling off and it looks dreadful. I know I’m having to break into my savings, but I feel if the roof is fixed, the gates replaced, possibly the garage door replaced and then I paint the bottom of the house again (there is an odd painted strip under the pebble dash that runs right around the house) it will make it look cared for from the outside. The odd thing with the gates is they are not standard sizes and gate shops are non existent here. The man couldn’t quote without a design and I couldn’t suggest a design without a price 🙄. I explained I’m looking for something affordable, but as he didn’t give any prices at all it was hard. One persons cheap is another persons bankruptcy 🤯 We settled on him measuring up and then giving 3 example price ranges so I can see what I would get for each. That will do. If it comes back ridiculously over budget then at least I know what I could be saving for. My lovely mum has gifted me some money towards the repairs and I was surprised and very grateful…however this is part of my inheritance really and I won’t squander it on something fancy for the sake of it.
It’s been incredibly hot here today, I’m not a fan!
I hope you have all had a lovely Saturday 🌞🍷

Good morning and happy Monday ☀️☕️
it rained and rained yesterday afternoon and was much cooler. Apart from a bit of housework and taking dog for a drive I didn’t get very much done.
Work today and not much else planned. I am on leave next week so need to get everything in order. It’s already busy, so I think I’ll be quite frantic! I’ll be glad to get to payday on Friday, but can’t tell exactly how much I’ll be able to save until a week on Friday when my mot, service and repair happens. I have the quote, but it’s always a worry there’ll be more!
I hope you all have a good day ☕️🌞

Good morning and happy Tuesday 🌞
The quote came back for the gates and I think no gates looks very attractive right now 😬 I was really shocked by even the cheapest bog standard version being £2500 😮 I could not justify that. I guess it could be a fair price, but it was way more than I expected for something that’s pretty much cosmetic. I don’t know if I should get another quote for comparison or just park the idea for now.
MrWW’s results came back and they were all fine. The solution seems to be to live with the dodgy vision and see if it gets better. On the other hand I can see why messing with it could risk making things a lot worse.
Work again today and nothing much else.
I have stayed the same weight for 3 days despite following the plan 😖
I hope you all have a lovely day filled with all the good things you deserve ☕️☀️🌟

I'd get another quote, you never know!
When we changed our boiler we did 4 quotes. One was very cheap but they seemed dodgy, two were in the same ballpark and the last ones - a local big company - was 50% more than these last two!!!
