When someone invents a cleaning product that jumps out of the bottle by itself and does the cleaning for me I'm in (thinking maybe a genie from a lamp but he appears with a duster in one hand and the spray bottle in the other).
I'm trying to make sure everything is organised for at least the next week when moving around will probably be a bit difficult. I saw Dr van Tulleken on Twitter earlier responding to Guardian Opinion piece which had called for all Highly Processed Food to be banned. He said he didn't think that would be a good idea at all, and apart from the fact it would include things like baby milk and nutritional supplements for the sick, it would unfairly disadvantage people on the lower end of the economic spectrum. I got his book on a Kindle Daily deal last week so I'm looking forward to reading it.Live the good life where you have been planted.

I am here to update you all on the saga of WW and the beauty bag 🤭 The tracking said Evr1 had it, but it was delayed…and no movement on the tracking for over 7 days. So I went to online help and chatted to a frustrating bot that said it was with the delivery agent. I told it I could see that, but why wasn’t it being delivered? The bot panicked and sent me to chat to real person. Hurrah, I thought, now I’ll get an answer. The person unfortunately told me the bag was still in the warehouse! No explanation as to why Evr1 said they had it, but I should receive it in 7 days. I asked why it would take so long and they said it would take 3 days to locate it. Why do they need to locate it when they say it’s in the warehouse? I asked why it couldn’t be sent sooner and they said because I didn’t pay for nominated day delivery, but I could cancel the order and get my money back. Why would I do that when I’d purchased (and received) a £30 blouse just so I could purchase the bag…it’s like being tricked into buying something! So I left the chat very disgruntled, but expecting a 7 day wait. I then received an email saying my order had been sent out…so the 3 days to locate it must have been make believe. Anyhow we had tea, did the house jobs, settled in for the evening, all locked up, curtains closed and the doorbell went. Yes, you guessed it…there was Evr1 with the beauty bag 😅 So that was fun! Will I receive another and then have the rigmarole of trying to get them to take it back? I will let you know in 7 days (or 3 weeks) 😬
On the UPF food maybe they should add it to the traffic light labelling, so we can see at a glance what’s bad..although when shopping for price alone it really doesn’t help 😖 I guess the genie is out of the bottle and it’s very hard to push it back in.Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

A lot of the time these timescales are given to manage expectations so you don't get loads of people chasing too soon. At work the delivery time we give people is longer than the time it should actually be delivered within.
On my ebay I give a despatch time of 5 working days but nearly always post the same or next day. It's stopped the silly 'where is my item' emails, and most people are pleasantly surprised as their item turns up a lot quicker than they expected."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". That’s so true, but sadly the business I work for is such a large machine everything takes twice as long as expected. I sent a message asking them to stop the replacement order and tonight I got an email saying they can’t stop it, but I can keep it 😁 that will be a lovely result if it turns up. I’m loving the perfume in the bag.
Today was my Friday, so it was a long day, but tomorrow I am freeeeeee.
It was a horrible, but expected interest rate news today, but Monzo increased their savings rate a touch. So that’s something. And the poor people in the submersible 😢Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Oh that will be great if you get a freebie!
I feel for those people's families, but I think the disparity in the coverage between those 5 people and the 750 people on the boat near Greece says a lot about our humanity."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
