Oh no, I imagine the takeaway had lots of salt and it must be mostly water 😬

I borrowed Nancy's books from the library but didn't get to read them during the 3 weeks 🫣 and then had to return them as they were in demand.

  • @WinterWarrior it’s likely just water retention as the takeaway probably had a really high salt content. Make sure you drink plenty to help flush it out.

Also worth knowing that in order to put on a pound, you have to eat 3,500 calories more than you burn - so it isn’t fat and will soon drop away!

@New_in_the_fens and @jokono thank you. I can live with water gain 😅
I definitely didn’t over eat 3500 calories. I guessed for my tracker using the takeaway category and thought I was about 400 more than my deficit target.

Hope the melon for breakfast works!!  I’ve had this week off and have done nothing but eat out and spend money so I feel your pain. I’m currently sat in the garden as it’s cooler than my house eating chocolate brownies for breakfast 😱 I never plan proper breakfast when I’m home xx
    Oooh brownies 🤤

I always find fruit for breakfast helps a lot.  Brownies are more fun though!

Happy Saturday 🌞 the extra pound is still there…no clue! But we went out for lunch before food shopping so I doubt two thirds of a Mac n cheese and half a portion of chips will help matters 🙄. Now I’ll work on getting it back off, along with the remaining stone.
It’s a bit cooler today, which is lovely for me and dog, but the sun is starting to get carried away with itself now.
MrWW has just popped out for a few hours of his hobby and I will scroll mindlessly while listening to my audiobook. It’s the second in a series, the first was free with audible, but I enjoyed it so happily paid for book 2. It’s called Roseland (and now Roseland vol 2) by Eric Ugland. It’s long, very light easy listening about a call girl turned p.i. She has some phenomenal luck and there are rather a lot of ‘she said, he said’, but overall very enjoyable. If you have audible and it’s still on the free to listen then I’d recommend trying volume 1 if you want a nice no brainer.
I hope you are all having a good day 🌞

A lot of my friends have put photos of their deceased dads on FB today. I suppose it shows they’re still your dad even though they’re not physically here. My dad left when I was 14 and I never heard from him again until he sent me a FB friend request a few years ago. I didn’t respond as there was no message with it and I felt there should’ve been. He passed away a couple of years ago and it was strange finding out, not sure how I felt really.

I don’t blame you, you’d expect something, even if it wasn’t an explanation or an apology 😢 Back then an adult put his feelings above his child’s and that’s so hard to understand.
