Sounds like your house will be looking great, with all the bits and pieces getting done. What is it with cats peeing in the most awkward places though?
I'm also having difficulty with empty pots this year. I keep spending them faster than I can fill them! Still, this is the first year I've done them so I'll be able to estimate better what I need to put aside next year (I hope!).

Good morning and happy Saturday 🌞☕️☕️☕️☕️
I didn’t leave work in the best place for a holiday, but I’m drowning at the moment. A few more days could sort it out, but I know if I did that then more problems would pile in and it would be just as bad. I hate thinking I’m not doing an excellent job, but there aren’t enough hours in the day for what I’ve been given (and they know it). I’m over 20 hours up, so 2 of my days will be flexi. I’ll definitely have to log in for a few hours and I’m determined to add them back in. At one point I’d give those for free, but I don’t feel that’s appreciated anymore.
@Elisheba the pots are a real learning curve aren’t they? It took me ages to get a handle on them, then last year they were working ok, but this year they crashed again. All it took was several large car emergencies in a row to clear everything out. I guess that is a lesson to me to keep the car pot at double I thought I would need (when I eventually catch up). One of my cats will pee anywhere he shouldn’t. They have 5 trays between 4 of them and the trays are spread inconveniently around the house (including 2 in lovely private pantry cupboards). They are mucked out every day. Still one of them likes to pee in several other places. I have puppy pads in those areas, but they never catch everything 😢 I don’t know what the answer is as he happily uses the trays too.
Yesterday I finished the day with an Indian takeaway and big glass of fizz. I did not overeat, but the scales tell me it has cost me 2 weeks of weight loss struggles and gave me nearly a pound back…yay! It doesn’t bode well for the rest of the week off 🤭
Im hoping today to get to the big town for cat litter and a trip to bnm. Yes I will look at the sweet aisle and I also would like some sandpaper, gloss and brushes, so I can rub down and paint the bathroom door and windowsill ready for having a working bath. I can’t remember if I said I ordered the bath and side panels? I did, but it seems to be a 2 week delivery window. A nice plumber came to quote for the change, seemed like he could easily do everything and has since not sent a quote 😖
I hope you all have a fabulous Saturday filled with all the good things you deserve ☕️🍷🍩🌟

Enjoy your time off and definitely take the hours back if you have to work some.

Did you have rice with your takeaway? Eating rice has a really odd effect on me in that I put on at least 2 lbs the day after. No other carb does that, just rice. Incidentally the day after surgery I was up 6 lbs. I had 2 IV drips run into me on the recovery ward as well as being given toast with real butter and a couple of cups of coffee. Today is day nine and I'm back to pre op weight plus an extra quarter pound off. I think the answer is to mostly carry on with what you are doing, allow a few treats as it's your holiday week but don't blow it and go stupid because you'll really regret that the week after.

Your work is mean and stinks. If the plumber is any good he's probably too busy working (they all hate paper work anyway). Finally give Dog a big hug from me because she's a lab and I love them ❤️😊

@CRANKY40 ours knows she shouldn’t take people food and can be trusted not to jump up for things, but she’s adopted the 10 second rule with the cats. If they leave a snack on the floor and walk away she will side eye it for 10 seconds and if no one says no or scoops it back up she will saunter over for a swift and stealthy clean up 😁
