Exercise doesn't make you thin, it just makes you hungry. I did the couch to 5k and although it made me much fitter, it didn't make me thinner because I was always so hungry. My GP said that you can lose weight without exercise, it just helps you become more healthy if you do get up and do a bit.
Rather than a full scale exercise programme try walking on the spot. If anyone asks what you're doing tell them you're a bit cold so you thought you'd move a bit rather than put the stupidly expensive heating on. You can walk on the spot while you're waiting for the kettle to boil.
My sister says that us two are just good peasant stock and we're built to be able to survive longer when there's less food available 🤣6 -
I lady I know swears by toothbrush squats 😂😂 every time she cleans her teeth she squats up and down. Apparently kettle squats are a thing too. Got to admit I’ve never tried.I’m more with Beanie on the exercise front though…..even though I’ve got gym membership I can’t say I enjoy it. Swimming is my favourite but it gets so boring.January spends - £587.583

Every time I go to the loo at work I do 25 squats while I’m drying my hands. I drink a lot of water so I go at least 4/5 times. Thankfully the cubicles are self contained so I’m not squatting at communal sinks in front of others 😆 You have to make exercise a habit, every little thing you can do helps no matter how small.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)4

Ooh I’ve never thought of squats! You’re all full of good ideas! When dog is messing about sniffing or sitting outside I walk in circles around the back garden..so much so that you can see my trodden down circle. It’s enclosed by hedges and trees so no one from the road can see my madness. I will try squats around the house…general task squats. I used to run up and down the hall (we’re on one level so it’s reasonably long), but dog won’t let me. She chases me jumping up and down so I run the danger of ending in a heap and/or wearing her out, so I had to stop.Love it Cranky, I think I could survive an apocalypse or two 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and happy Friday. Despite a 3 day working week, it’s been a very long one!
I’m just waiting for my weight to settle.I weigh daily, started on Monday, went down Tuesday and again Wednesday (we are only talking points of a pound), up yesterday and up another .2 of a pound today. This always happens to me and is most frustrating. I’ll go down and up right through the process. I have kept to under 1200 cals most days, with one day at 1350, so I’ve hardly been pigging out 🐷
It will be easier next week when I have a more varied selection of fruit, veg and some eggs back in. I think I will ask MrWW what he wants to eat for next week so i can make a meal plan with our different options. Normally we just decide before I make it.
It’s very windy up here today. Really wild and I can hear the sea thundering.
Just work today and no other plans. What are you all up to?

I find that my weight loss is always a week behind so hopefully you'll see a better loss next week.
I can't do squats either. I have a pre op date at the end of the month in preparation for my first knee replacement. Maybe when I have new knees I will be able to do squats 🤣
This morning I've baked oat cookies, made the HT a packed lunch and have dropped the HT off at his work experience place. The baking should have been done yesterday but I was tired.....my body is still on holiday time and wanted to stay up late the night before 🙄
