@WinterWarrior can I say that you are never boring?! Many of our diaries are about the daily grind but that's where we live and where budgets and diets are forged. Love Humdinger xx2

I love reading about everyone else’s daily grind, challenges, wins and happy moments, but I when the highlight of my day is a drive to the co-*p I do wonder why you all stick with me 😅 Although it’s really, really windy out there today so I’ll have to keep an eye out for flying cows (the countryside equivalent to flying trampolines 😁).Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Thanks for recommending Nutra Check
I love it, especially the fact its UK based so no silly cup types of measures 😂
I have linked it with my fit bit but made sure its not adding any calories gained through exercise onto my daily total as thats what my PT suggested was best.

Good morning and happy Monday (sobs quietly).
So I can report a whopping 1.5lb loss from last Monday to this Monday. That makes 7 days of starvation worth all the effort…😅 Anyhow, it’s the start of a brand new shiny week and this time next week it might be up to 3lbs, slow and steady wins the race and all that. there’s a lot to be said for persistence and quiet desperation 🤣
Work today, so by the time I’ve done that and made MrWW’s enchiladas it will be almost time for bed 😬
We looked at getting a monthly organic veg box from a local supplier, but it seemed even dearer than expected, so I’ve canned that idea. They wanted £280 for a yearly payment for a small box, which only covered 20 weeks and included 6 items. The items were random, but could include salad leaves and carrots, which are really dirt cheap. I’m sure I could get organic cheaper, even up here. It was such a nice idea, but seemed overpriced.
I got the small shop yesterday and then MrWW sent me the money as he normally does people food, so I popped some of that in my emergency fund pot. Then I fuelled up. So everything else in my January budget is a set amount apart from 1 birthday present. Only 3 weeks to go until payday, for once January doesn’t seem that bad!
Ihope you all have a lovely day ☕️⭐️☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

@WinterWarrior we have an organic box from R*v*rf*rd and it's top quality. The range is huge with different sizes and combos of veg/fruit/meat to fit your diet and household size and you can order any frequency you like, it doesn't have to be weekly. I think I have a discount code for newbies if you'd like to pm me? Love Humdinger xx1

@Humdinger1 thank you. I’ve just had a look and it doesn’t seem to cover my area. We are very rural and most delivery places exclude us! We are sometimes classed as offshore (we aren’t) 🙄 and the countrywide places that do deliver like to add a bit extra on just for us. It does look a really lovely shop though. Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Ww it sounds a lovely place where you live but I don’t think I could cope without my Morrison’s around the corner. I have been known to visit several times in one day 🤪😏. That said I have only visited once since Christmas 😃January spends - £587.582

@milann I miss M’s made up pizza’s, the four cheese one was amazing. Also those green marzipan bomb cream cake things. That’s a long time ago, but I still miss them 😁 Also ecclefechan tarts that I could only ever find in Sainsbugs 😢
@Four_Seasons I hope you dip the ginger biscuits 😋🤤
The good thing with calorie counting is you can still squeeze in a few biscuits…although sadly not a whole packet 🤭 I am very slowly working my way through a packet of marks & s Viennese sandwich biscuits. I’m allowing myself one with my last coffee of the day ☕️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
