  • Happy New Year WW, i also need to start counting the calories but have decided to start in February as i'm hoping all the biscuits/chocs/wine will have been devoured and less temptation in the house, also January is such a depressing month that i at least need some treats to get me through. Goodness knows how i'm going to get into my work clothes come Tuesday  :D.

    Happy New Year….the decluttering of the office is sounding good. I love nothing better than completely emptying a room and sorting as it goes (or doesn’t go) back in. I emptied all Dh acquired stuff ( read junk) just before my dd come home to stay for October half term.  We had a deadline we had to work to….don’t think Dh was impressed to begin with but it was so much better later 😀 and he uses it more like a room now rather than a storeroom 👍😀

    Happy New Year WW, Mr WW, Miss Dog and all the cats. Good luck with the decluttering. I tidied our spare room the day before yesterday because it was only possible to stand in there if I kept my arms by my side.  A while back the HT had me watch room set ups for some animal crossing gamers where everything matched. They had cute little matching shelves and baskets for their stationary.....one day I may achieve a set up like that but it won't be any time soon 😂

    Talking of stationery, I need to go and find an A4 sized book to make best friend a photo journal of our first year of gardening. I have the photos but I don't want to make an online photo book, that's too impersonal. I want something where I can stick the photo in and then write about it underneath. You're good at finding things like that....any thoughts? Don't worry if you're busy. It's not an urgent project. I need to print the photos off first.

    @CRANKY40 I got a wonderful black A5 notebook with some really flowing white pens and it looks so lovely and different. I’m going to see if they do A4’s of them, because I think that would look excellent with photographs attached ♥️ The paper is thick and a really black, black, not greyish. Does that sound interesting?
    Update…I can’t find an A4 black pages apart from sketch pads.
    So the other ones I like are either Peter Pauper Press or Paperblanks. Both have beautiful hardcover books with bookmark ribbons and various lovely closures like magnetic flaps or metal clasps. Paperblanks do a ‘grande’ which is close to A4.

    @redofromstart MrWW insists it’s not a pie without a bottom 😅
    I struggle with decluttering as MrWW guards the bin like a dragon on a pile of gold. We have a week before the ‘real’ bin collection is due, so if I post a huge bag in now there’ll be uproar 🤣 I managed to sneak a few bits in and some bits into recycling. I did make a big difference by moving a large bookcase full of books (bit by bit) from my office and into the dining room. It’s with a herd of bookcases in the wild now so MrWW has not noticed it yet 🤭

    Thank you, I'll have a look.

    I agree with him. I don't like pretend pies either.

    Love the idea of a herd of bookcases 😂😂

  • Good morning and happy bank holiday.
    There was a huffle of danger from the herd of bookcases when MrWW went in to open the curtains, but the extra bookcase has so far evaded detection. Not bad going for a 5ft tall case 🤭
    The rest of the decorations are down now and the living room looks big and empty (until I get used to it again).
    The roads are still covered with slush and snow so I won’t be risking a drive/slide.
