  • I ate the top half of a box of Belgium chocolates while I was trying to decide what to for dinner tonight (cheese and crackers in the end) so I think I need to join your weight loss challenge!! I’d lost almost a stone and a half before Christmas but still got about 2 stone to go. Not sure Christmas food helps with weight loss really but it tastes so good 🤣🤣 xx

Well done on losing all that weight! It takes me years to shift anything (and a sniff of cheese to put it all back on). Christmas food should be fine in small quantities, but the blinking chocolates seem to stick together in gangs don’t they? They just will not leave their friends behind!

  • Good morning and happy Friday. We may go out for lunch today (I know…calories), as it’s our last full day off together for a while. I’ll try and get some new bras while we’re in town (I say town loosely, it’s village sized 😬) as one of my best ones tried to kill me with an escaped underwire yesterday! I thought about it and realised how elderly my newish one’s actually are 🤔 I’ll hope for a sale in the tiny clothes shop. If not it will be an online purchase.
I thought I was pretty good yesterday, but counted up the calories and it was still about 1700! Sigh.
I hope you all have a good day 🎄🎅🏻☕️

Happy "lunch out" day!  I've been on the scales and considering what I've eaten the rise was justified. However....I need a replacement knee so I need to lose the weight that I've put on over Christmas and carry on losing if possible. My pre op date is the end of January but I have an appointment with the weight loss team to be weighed in person on the 23rd of January so first target is 3 lbs off by then.

Good luck with the bra hunt. M&S for me as I have to be able to see the materials (I'm allergic to polyeser, sigh).
  • Have a lovely lunch out.

We went for a big walk yesterday but then offset the efforts by a detour to McDs for the boys on the way back and I gave into temptation.

I’ve still got so many Christmas treats in- I’m not even bothering trying being good until next week. I’d be setting myself up to fail. I also ate out yesterday…..ds treated us. Very nice it was too. Chocolates definitely want to stay in groups….they don’t want to be lonely
I’m having steroid injections in my hip and opposite ankle. Both consultants have said I’ll need surgery but I want to put it off as long as I can. GP also wants me on meds to regulate cholesterol which I have no intentions of going on so I need to do something drastic pretty quickly.

  • Thank you, the lunch was lovely (Mac n cheese and chips). I find calorie counting works best for me, so having all the Christmas stash in is fine if I’m in the right frame of mind. It’s having nothing in that does it for me…then I’m so desperate for bad things I go get loads to eat right now! 😁
Sadly the post (which has been consistently late) came early today and they took my tracking book back 😢  I swear they do it on purpose. There’s a place they can leave things, but some of them won’t 😡
I just ate two thirds of lunch and will be very good at tea time, but I only amassed 3k steps walking in town 😕 No decent bras in ‘the’ shop either! So I’ll probably be joining Cranky with m&s, on line though, so no chance to feel the materials.

I love the treasure map at the moment. It’s so annoying when you have to wait a gazillion years for the next free go 😂 also…survivor…I have never got to the end😖

Think there must be more than 1 Yahtzee app. Mine doesn’t have a treasure map.
