Haha, that sounds about right. We have a big tabby visitor who comes in fits and starts. We’ll have him every day for a fortnight and then not see him for months. I suspect his favourite person works offshore and he comes to us when he’s sulking because his dad is away. He comes from over the field and I think I know where he lives. Mine are all house cats, but he sits on the windowsills (in winter he follows the room lights, he’s not daft) and demands the choicest pouches be placed on the step. He hates people though and will wind around ankles, but if you get too close with your arms or face he’ll pulverise you 🤣 I have no idea why I feed him, it’s like paying the mafia protection money! Once he’s eaten a pouch or two he comes back to the windowsill and won’t leave until Dreamies are produced (at the risk of losing a finger).Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Hiya @WinterWarrior just caught up with your diary. Skipping back a bit but I'd also recommend premium bonds- I found it really helpful that I can't 'see' the money in my bank account so never think of it as money I can use. I've just emptied mine except for £25 to repay relatives but I'm hopefully going to start building it up again next year. (Keeping £25 bond to keep it open until then, on the hilariously small chance that I win one of the £50,000 prizes and solve all my problems!)Bottom line;
£49k paid off
Car HP paid off
Debt Free!
Saved Escape fund and moved out.
Current focus; saving Emergency fund5 -
Hi @Kakiste, I hope that £25 is really lucky (just like mine will be 😁). I agree, out of sight is much better and I hope to build on mine regularly ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I’ve just caught up with your diary and love the general chat about cats, chocolate, neighbours etc and here to appreciate and enjoy both that and your journey

WinterWarrior said:🤣 oh my...I can trek badly on a horse, but I don’t have the leg muscles or rhythm to do the proper canter thing, I just do the uncoordinated bouncing about thing 😁 I can honestly say I never tried to reverse one 🤣
Horses are expensive and dangerous (for falling off), so I’ve not spent too much time with them, but I can understand the appeal. I wouldn’t say no to a Canadian mounty 😁
I have a half brother who used to be a Canadian Mounty, he isn't anymore he runs a motel now 😀Original Debt Owed Jan 18 = £17,630 Paid To Date = £6,510 Owed = £11,1204
