I would love a rescue donkey...but I don’t think the cats would approve 😁 Have you seen Arnold Schwarzenegger’s pony and donkey on Facebook? They go in the house and are so lovely!Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning and happy Wednesday 🌞 ☀️
I am hoping for NSD 5 today, but not convinced I’ll make it. I keep browsing amazon and filling my basket with ‘save for laters’. Lots of meetings today and a review that has been postponed twice already, I really hate talking about myself so I struggle through them. I have a habit of saying everything is fine, nothing going on and then kicking myself later when I remember everything I should have said. Writing notes beforehand makes little difference 🤨
anyway, I need full strength coffee to get me going, so I shall crawl out from under this cat that is radiating volcanic heat 🥵
Have a wonderful day 🌸Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning!
When I had my review earlier this year I just went through last year's one. We have to rate ourselves on a long list of indicators so I just put whatever I agreed with my manager last year. I was on the other side of reviews too and I found them just as useless. If anything needs improving or success acknowledged you don't have to wait for that one time a year to do it. My manager agrees so luckily these meeting are pretty painless now. But yours sounds like it might be more often?
Good luck with the NSD, Amazon can save that basket for a very long time I think 😁01.12.2020 - CC £16,839 / Loan £18,820 / EF £0

Quarterly and then full yearly with this one. My previous manager was happy to give them a miss, we just agreed we were happy and got the work done, apart from the full review which I’d just agree with. It was so much easier. My new manager is a lot, lot younger and very enthusiastic...sigh!And yes to the basket, if it was a real life basket I wouldn’t be able to drag that sucker anywhere 🤣Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Good morning. I'd say leave the basket alone but I went to Home Bargains yesterday and filled a real life basket with crisps, dreamies and tat so I am not the person to be telling anyone what to do 🤣5

Morning. Maybe if there is anything to mention within your review, you treat it like you’d have a good old moan to a friend. I too am one of those enthusiastic managers and actually love them chewing the fat with me over issues or things they’d change. It may not be able to make a huge difference there and then but the comments generally resound with me for a while until I can support with resolutions. I’d hate to think my think didn’t feel comfortable discussing those things with me, it’s what keeps them from all moving on or not enjoying their work.If you can put off completion on your Amazon basket today; I’ll have a NSD too... and I REALLY need a bnm haul! 🤪Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

As for reviews at work. We have one every year. Large American corporation so it's bloody hard work as you have to set targets, achieve them, write a statement, then your line manager reviews and writes a statement then it all goes to HR and senior management 🤦♀️. Having changed manager's in March I'm not sure how it will be. My old manager was a darling.
Avoid the Amazon basket @WinterWarrior 😂

It’s a very large multinational company, so the rules often change. Having a moan isn’t well thought of, it’s best to be positive (while sobbing quietly) 🤣. as long as it’s agreed I’m doing a good job I’m ok with jumping through whatever hoops are put up, it’s just a bit of a pain.
@Naomim writing statements 😥
