WinterWarrior said:@CRANKY40 it sounds wonderful. I used to love it when mine did 12 hour shifts and plenty of courses away 😁 You appreciate them more after a break 🤣3

@CRANKY40 I think I have a niche business idea for you...you could start up a training school and we can all enroll our boys for a crash course 😁Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

Where do I send my HT @CRANKY40 ?I’ve just ordered the hello fresh offer on Living Social so meals for 4 weeks, mainly because they come with nice easy to follow instructions and told my HT he is responsible for cooking them - also hyper mobile (plus a few other ‘fun’ stuff) so I will be supervising !Sealed pot challenge 822

🤣 by boys, I was also meaning husbands...I would love a crash course for mine.IzzyBee, I can just imagine how wounded they were that you didn’t rush home to feed them in between shifts!Dawnybabes I do like the idea of Hello Fresh, but have never looked into it. I’m not sure if they’d deliver up here (a lot of places won’t), but please do report back with how it goes ⭐️Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I too have a PITA husband who I have to continually remind/ask/remind that there are jobs to be done.He openly admits and I quote “if I do what you’ve asked me bad enough you won’t ask me to do it again”.We had to have a real chat the other day about how getting things ready the night before the morning of (mostly a Thursday as I don’t work from home on a Thursday) for my daughter at nursery and everything I need to take to work takes me a whole hour. By the time we’re all fed and my daughter has been fed to sleep (she’s only 10 months) and I’ve got everything sorted it’s bed time. The whole time since he’s read her bedtime story at 7pm he’s sat watching tv obviously doesn’t fly very well considering.He has now been put ‘in charge of’ the nursery bag and the nursery have been informed to call my husband in instances that my daughter doesn’t have something she needs and not to call me for that.That might be a bit brutal reading back but it’s honestly the only way I feel we have shared responsibility!Well done on your 5k, I have an issue where I struggle to sit down for any real length of time so find myself on the rower or bike more than anything else! I argue it keeps me from killing aforementioned husband! 🤦🏼♀️Follow here for the daily life of an ADHD mum with 2 children and a new mortgage to pay

Brutal, but hopefully effective @MissRikkiC 😁 well done!
I get bored, so like the bike as I can still read at the same time 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien

I would absolutely swap mine, just a nasty piece of work. It's my idle daydream that in a few years time Henry Cavill (actor who plays the Witcher/Superman) rocks up and think I'm the most amazing person ever and we run off together (taking my daughter and the cats of course!)
He's actually alright at cleaning but such a bloody martyr about it that it's just far easier if I jump to and then try and do it first otherwise if he does a daily chore more than twice in a row he gets in monumental sulk about how he's so put upon and a domestic slave to my slobbery! (I don't think it's ever occurred to him that if he's done the hoovering three times in a week then I must have done it the other four..... but when I used to point it out then he would then double down and say that I was either lying about the amount I'd done or my hoovering/washing up/cooking was so ineffectual whereas he does a Proper Job (capitals intended) so he was clearly still working harder!) What a twit.
Basically roll on being debt free and being swept off my feet by Henry Cavill!Bottom line;
£49k paid off
Car HP paid off
Debt Free!
Saved Escape fund and moved out.
Current focus; saving Emergency fund8 -
@kakiste I can’t believe you just explained Henry Cavill to me...are you quite mad? I’m so sorry, but I think he may choose me first....I also want his dog 🤣
I wholly agree about your twit, but you really vacuum every day? 😳 every day! I don’t know if I should be impressed or ashamed 😬Not all who wander are lost - J.R.R.Tolkien
