    Hi everyone 👋.
I always chain myself to my desk in my office..I need the routine. I think if I sat outside, or anywhere else I’d be away with the fairies!
I was so tempted to order some chocolate (white milka and caramel centred milka if you were wondering), but today is NSD1, so they are squatting in my basket...maybe tomorrow 😬

Don't do it until the weather cools down a bit. It'll melt in this heat....

That’s true...it lives in the fridge, but delivery could be a problem 😁

Happy Thursday. The sun is still shining and we are all one step closer to the weekend 😁
@efes_shareholder, you are right, thank you.
I have been thinking I may dabble in premium bonds, maybe £50 a month when my loans are freed up. I have a bad history with any kind of real saving, always pulling it back out and sabotaging myself. I think I may use this as a separate safety net as well as my savings account, just to see how it goes. I always worry about how easy I can pull money back, but it seems quite straightforward. I presume there is a rich people limit and not a normal limit 🤣
I was reading a diary that has really kicked off. The person is clearly struggling and has been getting some hard talking to, but it’s not doing any good and it’s uncomfortable reading. ☹️
My mortgage payment came out today on the new lower payment, so that was a relief. I’m always worried until it kicks in!
I hope you all have a lovely Thursday 🍫

Morning. I know the diary you mean, he needs professional help, it must be awful struggling like that. It’s dull here but set to change later.

I think I know the diary you mean , I think over time people become frustrated off giving advice that isn't taken heed off and he who will not listen must feel but you know , we are all living our own lives and must take our own paths.
re prem bonds , i love having mine locked off and the anticipation each month that I may get a bonus on a drawer , I've always been told that buying blocks of at least 1k a time gives you the best chance of winning but I don't know if there is any truth in that.
A friend of mine who works in finance suggested I start a stocks and shares isa such as nutmeg , paying in around £200 a month but this apparantly is a long term commitment so i'm on the fence at the moment until I've secured a home etc

    Morning,

Maybe you should start looking at the savings and investment boards? I'm wondering what to do with the 15yo's savings as when he hits 16 he loses the nice higher interest rate. We're not giving it to him yet and is only about £3k but want the best return I can on it.

I haven't seen the diary you mention but there was one last year that sounds similar and I had to unsubscribe and stop reading as it was too damaging for me.

Hope you have a lovely day.

Thank you both. I’m very risk averse, which is odd the way I fritter money 🤣 so anything with a ‘you may lose your capital’ warning scares me off. I will have a proper look around though. The £1k advice on the bonds seems odd as there should be an equal chance per bond...although I guess the more you have the more your chances are?
and yes to the other diary, they are clearly having problems and the hard advice feels on the edge of bullying, even though I understand it as it’s frustrating it isn’t sinking in. I may take @Naomim’s advice and unfollow. It’s doing me no good.

Good morning WW. I've decided not to read the other diary any more. I need to fix my life not worry about people that don't want to fix themselves.

I bought the HT £500 worth of premium bonds  a year ago and he's had £25 so far. Better than he'd get in interest if he'd put the money in a savings account.
