My dog eats grass too, she’s quite particular with the type of grass 😆 I managed a lovely relaxing half hour in the sun with my book, a G&T and some olives - bliss.

Sunday already! I hope everyone is having a great day.
Much as I’m worried about counting my chickens there may be a windfall coming that will clear my loans and leave me a little left over to save. Such amazing news that I cried. I was fretting all night about how to save this if it comes. I’ve never had savings and am quite worried I won’t respect them as I should. Also I feel guilty that MrWW won’t benefit (apart from a gift I’d promised), although he does have an old investment he can cash in next yr to clear off all of his debts. We run our finances separately and he’s never mentioned sharing/gifting anything to me with his (larger) windfall, nor should he, nor have I asked, so I need to hold fast with mine I think. Any savings will be to both our benefit if anything needs repairing anyway. It’s just very hard not to trickle it through my fingers...before I even get it! This is essentially early inheritance. If all comes through then July will look a lot differently as £630 of payments will be freed up and I hope to save at least £500 p.m. on top of what I’m trying to save now. MrWW did half jokingly say I’d have more free money than him now, that made me feel guilty, although he didn’t seem to mind the other way around 🤣 Anyway it won’t be true if I can keep saving. Does anyone invest their EF’s? Should I look at ISA’s going forwards? I have no idea. It will be about £10k and I won’t lie, the thought of locking it in scares me! There is a lot that needs doing in the house, but I am determined not to fritter this. I shall have to save up for things like a normal person....I shall have to learn how to be one of those 🤔

Thanks @jwil. It was talked about a while ago, but I didn’t quite dare pin my hopes on it. When it’s a prospective gift and completely up to the giver I wasn’t daring to count on it and didn’t dare mention it again for fear of looking grabby...but it’s been mentioned again, so phew! I am so very grateful. Now I am feeling responsible for getting my act together and not letting them down. 

I am calling tomorrow NSD17 as practice for June.
